      Duke Bradshaw has lived next door to Carmella Rossi for two years. Both of them lusted after each other that entire time but never acted on their desires. However, once Duke offers Carmella the job of office manager at Twisted Steel and they begin seeing each other everyday, their feelings for one another become impossible to ignore.
      Lauren Dane writes very good modern relationship fiction. In this story, the couple comes together early in the book, but issues involving their own insecurities as well as the people around them including friends and family create the problems that drive the story forward. As interesting as it is to read about the day to day lives of this couple, that is really all there is to the story. Without a true climax, the book just ends, leaving the reader feeling a little underwhelmed. Overall, however, as a simple relationship story, it is an enjoyable read.
