      So in this one some fiend has constructed a giant vibrator. Ben Hope can scarcely believe such a device exists. He likes good clean fun without utensils. But the vibrator has already destroyed Ben’s prospects of marriage, and if he doesn’t kill an extraordinarily high number of men in the next few days, it’s going to destroy the earth.An enjoyable thriller with the most ridiculous premise I’ve ever encountered and an interesting sexual subtext. Good holiday read, or if you need to reboot your brain after a long squawk.

      Standard fast-paced Mariani fare with historic references (albeit rather tenuous this time around.) Some weaknesses in the plot, but overall readable.
