About this audiobook

Casey knows the truth. But it won’t set her free.

Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore.

But what is the truth? That’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.

Casey Cox doesn’t fit the profile of a killer. But are Dylan’s skewed perceptions keeping him from being objective? If she isn’t guilty, why did she run?

Unraveling her past and the evidence that condemns her will take more time than he has, but as Dylan’s damaged soul intersects with hers, he is faced with two choices: the girl who occupies his every thought is a psychopathic killer . . . or a selfless hero. And the truth could be the most deadly weapon yet.

My only disappointment is that this is the first of a series and I must wait impatiently until the next installment!

A thoroughly enjoyable page-turning, crime drama! Great characters and exciting twists and turns. Didn't enjoy the authors comments at the end but they didn't interfere with the story which is excellent.

If I'm Found, second in the If I Run series by Terri Blackstock is a suspense story that does not disappoint. To say this book is edge of the seat suspense does not do it justice...nail-biting, spine-tingling. Even though a part of a series, the book could be read as a stand alone as the author gives enough of the backstory to not leave the reader lost and wondering what things are all about. Casey, accused of murder, is on the run from the police. Dylan, being paid by the dead man's family, is the private detective looking for her. Will he believe she is innocent? Can they find enough evidence to put away the real killers? Can she stay ahead of the police? How can she stay alive? Keep her family safe? As the author tells Casey's story and touches on the issues of drug and alcohol use and child abuse, she fills the pages with drama, suspense, mystery, and emotional tension. Beneath it all is the tender message of the need to be intentional in looking for and being grateful to God in the everyday, mundane things of life. This reader can't wait for the next book in this series. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. A favorable review was not required and opinions are my own.

This is a top-notch suspense, just what one would expect from Terri Blackstock. A close follow-up to If I Run, we find Casey still on the lam and uncertain whom she can trust. I love how Casey puts her own safety on the line more than once when she is convinced that someone else needs help. Casey is also quite concerned about others who stand to become potential victims because of her running. Casey seems to have a good head on her shoulders and really cares about those around her, whether those she has lost or those she stands to lose.My one disappointment was I did not realize (silly me, don't most book series contain three books?) that everything would not wrap up at the end of If I'm Found. I highly recommend this book. I obtained a complimentary copy from the publisher and NetGalley. This did not affect my opinions, which are solely my own.

If I Run by Terri BlackstockA thriller with an innocent on the run and corruption in the police department. It's an intense story and I found myself anxious in key moments. Very well written. It's not a complete story. The book ends but it's obviously only Part 1.The praying to God and mention of the Holy Spirit a few times dragged me out of the story. It wasn't obnoxious or preachy but it was apparent. Will I read more by this author? Yes, I want the ending, but if it's a trilogy or more, I will wait for the last book to be released before reading more. I want a clean ending. This was a fantastic thriller. Breathtaking. But it doesn't have a conclusion. I received a copy of this book via NetGalley.

This is the second book in the Casey Cox "If I Run" series and I really like this series. However, I am not liking the fact that this poor girl has been running for two books now. Can somebody please give this girl a break? Ha! JK Actually, I would really like to see that Keegan guy get his just desserts - what an A$$. This was definitely a suspenseful book. There were plenty of hold your breath moments going on. Car chases, jumping out windows to escape, child abuse, drug dealers with guns, cars being run off the road, innocents being brought in for questioning, disguises, changing hotels nightly - sometimes twice a night, etc. I mean we are talking some serious action going on in this book. The only thing I didn't like - there's a book 3. Casey is still on the run. However, if the author keeps the suspense and the drama going like she has - it will be worth the wait! Thanks to Zondervan Fiction for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

Very good story. Not too dark. Engaging. Good spiritual/moral lessons. A couple of minor errors like a shotgun firing a bullet. I guess she is not familiar with firearms.

Title: If I’m Found (If I Run Series #2)Author: Terri BlackstockPages: 384Year: 2017Publisher: ZondervanMy rating 5 out of 5 stars. If I Run is the first novel in the series and was published in 2016. Now, If I’m found is out this year with the exciting conclusion, If I Live, coming out March 2018. So, if you haven’t read the books, you have time to catch up before the series concludes.Casey Cox is a woman we meet in the first book who is running for her life after finding her friend dead. While trying to keep under the radar, Casey ends up getting involved in other peoples’ troubles and longs to help them out. The hardest part for Casey is trusting someone with information she has about her own father’s past that will have ripple effects some people just don’t want to have happen. Readers will follow Casey as she tries to stay a step or two ahead of the man who has been sent to capture her and bring her back to face justice. What makes it even harder for Casey to stay under the radar is her passion to help others out of deep trouble even if it means she will be caught and probably punished for a crime she didn’t commit. Casey is used to trusting herself and carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, but Dylan Roberts just might be the one to help her share her burden while getting justice.Terri Blackstock has written some very engaging stories that audiences won’t soon forget no matter how many books they read in a short time. While I hate to wait another year before the conclusion, I can say it is well worth it because the suspense never lets up! While you’re waiting for the last book to come out, if you haven’t read some of this author’s other stories, plunge right in, pick a couple and enjoy!Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Once again I was left with my heart in my throat, and the wanting for justice to take place immediately, but alas it and life really don’t happen that way. This is the second book in this series, and yes the first is as good as the second, and now I anticipate the third, however they can stand alone, but you will want to know what our girl with the big heart did in the previous book. Can you imagine looking at the face of evil and yet these are the people that you are supposed to rely on when there is trouble, members of law enforcement. Makes me so sad that the people you are supposed to trust are so untrustworthy, and I do realize that these are the rare few, but does one apple spoil the bushel, lets sure hope no. All the while I was reading this, I kept wanting justice for all, and yet for some it does come to late, how very sad.I am really pulled into this story, and highly recommend the first two books in this series, you won’t be disappointed, and you will be waiting for book three along with me.I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Zondervan and was not required to give a positive review.

Terri Blackstock is a favorite with my book club. We’ve yet to meet a book she has written that we didn’t like. If I’m Found, book 2 in the If I Run series, received a unanimous thumbs up from us. The novel is action-packed with the ongoing story of Casey’s quest to clear her name and the additional story line of a man wrongfully accused of child abuse. As with the first book, there are some loose ends left at the end, and we are eagerly anticipating book 3, If I Live. Most of our discussion revolved around Casey’s motivations — her need to find the truth and her innate sense of right and wrong. Casey is beginning to respond to God’s promptings, and we found that intriguing as well. While If I’m Found is adrenaline-laced suspense, the character development is well done. We loved the good guys, Dylan especially, and hated the bad guys. Because this one is the middle offering in a trilogy, there is still plenty of what-ifs. We had fun coming up with scenarios for the last book. It will be interesting to see if any of our theories come true. For fans of Blackstock, If I’m Found is another winner. It gets our book club’s stamp of approval!Recommended.Audience: adults.

If I Run by Terri Blackstock is a 2016 publication. Casey’s best friend has been murdered and she’s the prime suspect. While she runs from law enforcement, Dylan Roberts joins in the chase, independently. As he hunts for Casey, he comes to believe she may be innocent… But who would want to frame Casey… and why? This is a fast-paced thriller told partly from Casey’s perspective and partly from Dylan’s, as he begins piecing the puzzle together. The novel touches on the themes of PTSD and plants the seeds of a Christian message as Casey begins to see her need for answered prayers, faith, and trust in God. While there were revelations along the way, none of them were exactly shocking. I suppose that’s the hazard of reading so much crime fiction- but the story is still compelling and held my attention without losing any momentum along the way. One thing to know, if you are considering this one, is that this is the first book in a trilogy. There are still some threads hanging at the end of this book, so you’ll have to read the other two installments to get all the answers and you’ll have to read them in order. Overall, while some plot points were predictable and the story doesn’t really cover much new territory, but it is still an engaging thriller. I’m on board for the whole trilogy and am looking forward to seeing how everything wraps up. 3.5 stars

I was very excited to read this book. One of my daughters had brought it home at some point. But then they never said anything else about it so it was put on the shelf to Be read by me at a later date. I read many great reviews about this book and I agree with a lot of them but something just did not resonate with me. I think a lot of it had to do with how silly the actions and reactions of Casey are during 80% of the book. I get that this is a YA novel but even once it was explained why she ran, it still didn’t quite make sense why she continued... even though that was explained. I’ll continue with the series though because I am interested to see what happens and hopefully everything will wind up making sense in the end.

This book is good with the suspense and mystery. My interest didn't waver with wanting to find out what was really happening. The puzzle of Casey's past and why she is hiding unwound at an appropriate pace. Dylan's background is interesting also. I liked the two main characters (the book alternates between their two voices). Casey did seem too good to be true often. She was on the run for her life but took the time to clean a public restroom and be the bastion of morality in every situation. Also, I like Christian fiction, but I did find some of the times when witnessing or preaching was added to be odd and ill-timed. The police procedures didn't seem realistic, but, overall, the story was a good experience for me. I was interested in finding out what eventually happens, and I had planned on getting the next book until I read the author's note at the end. I would have probably given this book a 3 star rating, but for the author's note. It ruined my entire experience. If it was written elsewhere, I wouldn't include it in my rating, but since the author added it to the end of the story, it is including in my rating of this book.

I really did enjoy this book but found some parts to be rushed. I also found a couple name errors which made me think I missed something. I think the wrong name was put in and it just bothered me. I didn't realize this was part of a trilogy so it ends in a major cliffhanger. It's pretty good though and captured my interest from the first page!

    Riveting!!!

I cannot praise the author enough. The book is phenomenal. The characters are so realistic that you can feel the emotions running through them. The tension builds beautifully with every page. I am impressed and already looking forward to the next book in the series!

This book took me a little while to get into, but once I got into it, I could not put it down! It is the story of a young woman who is accused of murder. She leaves town because she didn't do it, but she doesn't think anyone will believe her. It is a hard book to review without giving anything away.

The family of the deceased hires a private investigator to find the girl. During his hunt, he finds some clues that make him question her guilt. But does it matter? His job is to bring her back for a trial.

I was sent the third book in this series for review. However; I have never read book one or two. I have seen them around and decided to read the series in order before reading the third book. I am so glad I did. This is a mystery, within a mystery, within a mystery. There is a murder years before, a current murder, and a missing teenager within this story. They all work together and each bring an interesting plot line. The one thing I did not really like is some of the information is repeated/recapped. An example of this would be some of the video evidence within the older murder. We hear about with Casey and then again get the whole recap though Dylan. I do not like when these things are told over and over again since we already have the information and I feel it is just filler.I ended up reading this in one sitting. The second half of the book had me at the edge of my seat. I flew through it. I wanted to go to bed, but I knew I had to finish this first. This does end with so many questions, so I am happy I plan to binging this series and will be starting book two next.Overall, this was much better than I thought it was going to be. This is a Christian Fiction book, but it is not heavy within that aspect. This was really more thriller/mystery. I recommend giving it a try, but be prepared to want to read the rest of the series.
