About this audiobook

Alexis Morgan has spent the past eight years devoted to turning her tiny start-up into Manhattan's premiere wedding planning company, The Wedding Belles. Now that her business is thriving, it's time to turn towards her much neglected personal life, and Alexis approaches her relationships like she does everything else: with a plan. Not a part of that plan is Logan Harris, the silent partner in the Belles, and the one person who's been there for her since the very beginning. But Alexis needs someone fun, and Logan's all business, all the time-except when a late night at the office ends with an unexpected kiss that leaves Alexis reeling.

Logan has lusted after Alexis since the day he walked into the tiny Harlem apartment that used to double as her office. But the ambitious wedding planner has always been untouchable . . . until now. Alexis has made it clear that she's on the dating market-and equally clear that he's not in the running. But when Alexis finds herself in need of a date for her sister's last-minute wedding, Logan knows it's the perfect time to show Alexis that there's more to him than numbers and spreadsheets-and beneath the pinstripes and glasses lies a hot-blooded heartthrob.

"To Love and to Cherish" by Lauren Layne is book number three in the "Wedding Belles" series. This is Alexis Morgan and Logan Harris' story.

Alexis and Logan are partners in the Wedding Belles company. Logan is a silent partner and the accountant for the business. They have been in partnership for the past eight years. Logan from the beginning has had feelings for Alexis and has been waiting for the right time.

This is a sweet friends to lovers romance. Overall, I enjoyed Logan and Alexis' story. I fell in love with Logan from the start. Alexis was a little harder to get to know. At times I wanted to smack some sense into her. I guess at times we all have a hard time seeing something great that is right in front of our face. Will Alexis take a chance on love or will she be her own worst enemy?

    FYI, includes mature content.

This was one of those occasions where I wished I had (physically) read the book first. The story was probably better than the stars I'm giving it, but the narrator was so poor, I'm not sure they didn't affect the rating.I had read the 2nd book in the series, so was familiar with the main characters and their history together. I was curious to see how they would become a couple, after 8 years of knowing each other. Well enough, I suppose, but definitely not with burning love, nor a tension-filled lead-up. The Narrator affected every part of this story. She was unable to use a consistent British dialect for Logan and made Alexis sound whiny and petulant. Actually, Logan sounded a little petulant, too. There was not enough energy in the reading of the story; it felt like the narrator was just "ready to be done for the day." Bored. Uninspired. Pedantic. I'd skip any books this narrator does for awhile. Maybe with time, she'll improve, but it won't be with my ears listening. Authors out there, if you have any say in who the narrator will be, make sure you listen to them reading a few books first.

To Love and to Cherish by Lauren Layne is a 2016 Pocket Books publication. I was provided a copy of this book as an XOXpert, the official street team of XOXO After Dark. Enchanting cast of characters, poignant and deliciously sexy!! Alexis has finally gotten her wedding planning business off and running and is basking in her success, when out of the blue her mother drops a bombshell on her, which has her contemplating the need to put a little effort into her own personal life now. Logan, who is from across the pond, is here in America to build his own business interests. It’s been nearly ten years since he became a silent partner in ‘The Wedding Belles’, and nearly ten years since he fell in love with Alexis Morgan. But, with his father pressuring him to return home, he must decide if he has a reason to stay in America. Can he finally get Alexis to notice him? Will Alexis be able to risk her heart again? I have a hard time getting through series from start to finish sometimes. The books have to be really special in order for me to seek them out and make a concerted effort to read them in order. This has been one of those series. I loved every single book in the Wedding Belles series and I’m very sad to see it end. But, if it must come to a conclusion, at least it went out on a high note. Ladies, I think you will fall head over heels for Logan, especially if you like a guy with a sexy accent. He stole my heart!! Alexis is good at what she does professionally, but her personal life is dry as a bone. But, once her story comes out, it’s understandable. Her fear is almost paralyzing and her heart is still tender and raw despite the passage of time, but I did get frustrated with her because she let fear rule her heart, which could cost her that elusive happily ever after… plus she was breaking poor Logan’s heart. Grrr!! But, I seriously loved them both and enjoyed touching base with the characters from previous installments, as well. Lauren Layne is an author I’ve followed for a while now, and with each new book, she gets better and better. This series, in particular, is super romantic and sensual, as well charming and witty, and superbly written.Overall, I highly recommend this series to all lovers of romance!!

To Love and to Cherish is the last book in the Wedding Belles series. Alexis is the owner & creator of the Wedding Belle exclusive wedding planning business. She established the business right out of college with her MBA & has worked to make sure her vision became a reality. Her single minded focus was perfect for getting her business established but, as she begins to realize, no substitute for a personal life. Logan is a silent partner in the Wedding Belles & the business's accountant. He's also been secretly in love with Alexis since the beginning & has been waiting for her to notice him. Now he's reached a crossroads. He's ready for another challenge & his father has called & is pressuring him to come home to London to take over the family business. Can he give up on Alexis? Will he finally make his move?Lauren Layne has a talent for spinning a story with memorable characters, realistic plots & lots of emotion. Throughout this series, all of the characters have grown & found their loves. No one fades into the background. They all stay an essential part of the next story since they are becoming more than boss/employees but friends & family. This detail creates a higher emotional connection as you go along. In this final book, you can sense the tight control Alexis has always kept on her emotions beginning to crack. Logan has finally had enough & his sarcastic wit is delightful & funny while it bewilders Alexis & forces her outside her comfort zone. I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series & I think you will too. (Although I will not stop hoping for the series to be revisited so Jessie can find her HEA too!)I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. This opens with a scene eight years in the past when Logan meets Alexis in a bar and offers to invest in the Wedding Belles so that she can get the company off the ground. Eight years later, he is still waiting for her to notice him in a "romantic" light and coming under pressure to return to the UK and take over the family business so that his parents can retire. Logan gives himself a month to work things out with Alexis and otherwise he will return home.I enjoyed this story very much, despite the fact that there was really (even more than the average romance) only one way things were ever going to go. Alexis and Logan's relationship had been set up and teased in the previous instalments and the opening chapter completed the set-up. Thereafter not a lot really happened apart from Logan pushing a little and Alexis pulling back time and time again, but it nevertheless managed to be very sweet and mostly convincing.Niggles: Logan waited eight years? Eight? Alexis spent eight years wondering if she could get over her sister and her ex getting together? Eight? What happened about Logan's family business?
