Fucking pregnancy tropes are not my cup of tea and I love the series and just lost a bit of that love. I will finish it bc I am invested but it kinda just ruined it for me…

Is this a multipart story (cliffhanger)? Yes
Story Type and Subtypes: Romance-Action (after the first 10%) with a MMMMMMMMF erotica feel to it.

    2.25 Stars for me!

My rating range of this story... 1 - 3 Stars
If significant, why? The beginning torture sequence went on to long and was cringy to me.
Biggest deduction? 1 Star for the opening sequence.

    Main Character Ratings...
    H(All 8) = 7/10
    h (Kitten) = 4/10
TSTL Moment(s)? None compared to Book 1

    Narrator Rating(s)
    M (Cooper North) = 7/10
    F (Aletha George) = 7/10
    If below 5/10, why?

    Was cheating involved? No
Any major triggers to be aware of? Child Abuse, h tortured (full first 10% of the story)

    If Comedy... Type? n/a
Funny, Cute, Cringe Inducing, Mixed or Just No!

    Angst Level? Heavy
Light, Moderate, Heavy or Please Stop
    3 Stars for me!

    Internal Monolog/Dialog? Please Stop... Really!
Light, Moderate, Heavy or Please Stop

    Scenes with heat... Yes
What point does it start? 15%
How much of the story? 20%
    Anything beyond M/F? MMMMMMMMF
If yes, explained: From 15% - 50%, she went from guy to guy to guy and had the twins at the same time.

    Heat Rating... 8/10
Clean or Fade to Black - 1 or 2
    Normal to Descriptive 3-5
    Detailed Descriptive Sex - 6-7
Um, Wow, Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? 100%. She went from a virgin that understood nothing to gloriously experienced with an ravenous libido over a three day period.

The back story... Continuation from book 1 after a hard cliffhanger.

Romance or Gist: Mostly lust and idealistic love with little to no jealousy between the 8 pack members and their h.

The drama explosion... The H is upset about the treatment of the lower wolves. There are later issues but no spoilers her. It is a much softer cliffhanger than in the first story.
Did it feel Real, OK or contrived?
    Was it OTT? No
    Separation involved? No
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Properly

Final Notes... I probably will not read the last book in the series as the story is a bit too preachy for me. The h is very judgmental but discusses how she doesn't judge others. The bads are all truly bad and no one understands how to make the good people truly altruistic until she points it out. She doesn't know what a cell phone is but spent 16 summers out in the real world. There are more but this gets my point across.

The author has a ton of talent and a fun imagination so I will look at her other stories. There are stories and series from authors that I love that I don't like and I would be remiss if I judged an author by one story/series. To those who love this series, please enjoy and continue to read!

It was great right up to the gratuitous spanking. I toyed with the possibility of only 2 stars as that made me angry. I don't know if I will read further. Ugh.
