      Havent't read the book at all so I was surprised by the ending. Masterful performance by Kenneth Branagh. Can't wait to watch the movie when it comes out.

      A classic. How can you not love this one! And Kenneth's reading was dreamy.

      This book ranks with witness for the prosecution at the top of Agatha Christie's greatest works. The performance is nuanced and convincing. There are quite a few audio versions of murder on the Orient express, But it would be a mistake to avoid this one simply because one has either read the book or listened to a previous version. Particularly of note is K.B.'s approach to the voicing of the female characters. He makes no sophomoric falsetto attempts, but, convincingly through deft vocal control and emotional subtlety allows the listener to accept the gender allusion to be real.
      Much like opera's Madame Butterfly, knowing the ending doesn't spoil anything. When you get to it, it still grabs you.
