About this audiobook
Deception. Risk. Betrayal. Redemption. Master storyteller Scott Westerfeld is at the top of his game, and back to his most famous realm.
Frey and Rafi are inseparable.... two edges of the same knife. But Frey's very existence is a secret. Frey is Rafi’s twin sister—and her body double. Their powerful father has many enemies, and the world has grown dangerous as the old order falls apart. So while Rafi was raised to be the perfect daughter, Frey has been taught to kill. Her only purpose is to protect her sister, to sacrifice herself for Rafi if she must.
When her father sends Frey in Rafi’s place as collateral in a precarious deal, she becomes the perfect impostor—as poised and charming as her sister. But Col, the son of a rival leader, is getting close enough to spot the killer inside her. As the deal starts to crumble, Frey must decide if she can trust him with the truth... and if she can risk becoming her own person.
With Impostors, master storyteller Scott Westerfeld returns with a new series set in the world of his mega-bestselling Uglies—a world full of twist and turns, rebellion and intrigue, where any wrong step could be Frey’s last.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another real good book from Westerfeld! I really enjoyed going back to the world of "Pretties" and seeing how it had changed!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pretty decent book, makes me want to rather read Uglies and Pretties again (and skip Specials and the horror that was Extras). Relatively cookie cutter YA dystopian novel with rebel uprising, being the chosen one and falling in love thrown in. I got bored of Frey saying “that is what I am born to do” half a hundred times. She is dull in my opinion, but so much less annoying than her sister Rafi. I am going to continue the series for sure but won’t be re-reding it. 3,5 stars.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not a fan. For a story all about Fray finding her own identity and making her own story, she sure is a bystander for wayyy too long. She goes from Raif’s imposter to Cole’s love interest to Cole’s second in command of sorts, then back to Raif’s secret sister. At no point does it really feel like Fray has taken the reins and started making her own decisions.
A lot of the other characters were either too underdeveloped or had barely any read time to formulate an opinion on.
And finally, that vocabulary choices in this book are honestly just cringe worthy. I’m sorry, me calling someone else “brain-missing” is supposed to be an insult to them? There’s little to no tense scenes that made me feel “stomach-missing,” and the vocabulary was frankly “sick-making.” What the hell are these words, why would anyone talk like that.
Overall, i will not be reading the second - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved the continuation of the world built in the Uglies series...can’t wait to listen to the next one!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It kept my attention from page one and has me searching for the next book now!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love Scott westerfeld books. His writing style just keeps me wanting more. I reread his books constantly and this one is just the same. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that there are spots in the audiobook that there is no sound so I miss stuff.
