About this audiobook
New York Times bestselling author Diane Chamberlain delivers a thrilling, mind-bending audiobook about one mother's journey to save her child.
When Carly Sears, a young woman widowed by the Vietnam war, receives the news that her unborn baby girl has a heart defect, she is devastated. It is 1970, and she is told that nothing can be done to help her child. But her brother-in-law, a physicist with a mysterious past, tells her that perhaps there is a way to save her baby. What he suggests is something that will shatter every preconceived notion that Carly has. Something that will require a kind of strength and courage she never knew existed. Something that will mean an unimaginable leap of faith on Carly's part.
And all for the love of her unborn child.
The Dream Daughter is a rich, genre-spanning, breathtaking audiobook about one mother's quest to save her child, unite her family, and believe in the unbelievable. Diane Chamberlain pushes the boundaries of faith and science to deliver a story that listeners will never forget.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5the story involves time travel, a genre I am not fond to read.
However this one was simple to understand as many other reads are all over the place,
which makes me confused.
I thought when Carly took her 3rd trip and ended of in entire different year than was planned, I thought
here we go, this is going to get confusing, but it wasn't but I did feel sorry for Carly in what she had to endure.
Diane Chamberlin created a beautiful story, I like it a lot. very different for her, but good. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Definitely was not what I was expecting! Interesting twist but felt frustrated with the main characters choices at some point. A bit creepy towards the end… but has a great plot twist.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5New favorite book! Not Chamberlains typical genre, but totally loved it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Although there were several times that I thought the writing was superfluous, by the end I was sobbing and agreeing with Scribd's 5-star review.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful book! I cried throughout the entire thing! Especially at the end!

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5It has been a long time since I listened to a book that I could ‘not put down’. The story kept me guessing....unlike so many predictable books, this one had so many possible twists and turns, that my inadvertent assumptions were almost never right.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great! Imaginative! Suspenseful and captivating! I honestly couldn’t put it stop listening from the beginning until the end. I was sorry to hear it end because I wanted to keep living the marvelous story...
