About this audiobook
When it comes to money, are you controlled by fear?
Do you underestimate your worth?
Are you ready to go to the next level, but can't seem to get there?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be an underearner. Underearners are self-saboteurs who don't live up to their earnings potential, says Barbara Stanny, a financial educator, motivational speaker, and career counselor. Whether they make $10 an hour or six figures a year, they tend to live paycheck to paycheck, are often in debt, and have a high tolerance for low pay. Ironically, many work incredibly hard. The good news is that underearning is a self-imposed condition. By focusing on overcoming it, underearners will not only earn what they deserve, but live a richer life. With techniques and exercises that have helped thousands of people, Stanny teaches five essential steps to financial independence and brings a message of empowerment to all those who chronically undervalue themselves.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is a must! It helped me tap into so many areas of my life, and with myself, that I didn’t realize were impacting my money and how I am showing up.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just about anybody can give sage personal finance wisdom, i.e., save more, spend less; etc. Not everybody even gets that perhaps 80-90% of our money situation -- whatever it may be -- is due to the psychology of money and behavior. Knowing about money is not enough. Applying what we know determines outcome.
This book opens both heart and mind with sage wisdom and practical application that, when practiced, can bring about whatever we want to bring about in our financial lives. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is very good, and offers the reader clear, actionable steps.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is really good. I need to listen to it again and do all the exercises.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really good journal questions and back up examples of people who have succeeded at earning more.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At first I was skeptical that this read was going to be too bougie to relate to, but in the end it really affected my outlook. I highly recommend!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book examines women's mental blocks about valuing themselves in the workplace (and life in general) and provides an action plan for overcoming their tendency to undervalue their skills and abilities in the marketplace. I certainly can't claim that this turned my life around, but I've got health complications in my life that make working at all challenging. I consider this a very solid self-help book regarding career and money and keep it on the shelf to re-read to straighten myself out when I feel I'm getting off the path to improving my professional and financial life. I highly recommend it to anyone (male or female), who can't figure out why they're not making more money (especially if they're doing the same thing as others who make lots) and/or who feel twinges of guilt about asking for money in return for their services.
