About this audiobook
A short, darkly funny, hand grenade of a novel about a Nigerian woman whose younger sister has a very inconvenient habit of killing her boyfriends
"Femi makes three, you know. Three and they label you a serial killer."
Korede is bitter. How could she not be? Her sister, Ayoola, is many things: the favorite child, the beautiful one, possibly sociopathic. And now Ayoola's third boyfriend in a row is dead.
Korede's practicality is the sisters' saving grace. She knows the best solutions for cleaning blood, the trunk of her car is big enough for a body, and she keeps Ayoola from posting pictures of her dinner to Instagram when she should be mourning her "missing" boyfriend. Not that she gets any credit.
Korede has long been in love with a kind, handsome doctor at the hospital where she works. She dreams of the day when he will realize that she's exactly what he needs. But when he asks Korede for Ayoola's phone number, she must reckon with what her sister has become and how far she's willing to go to protect her.
Sharp as nails and full of deadpan wit, Oyinkan Braithwaite's deliciously deadly debut is as fun as it is frightening.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was so amazing and so compelling!!! I Love it!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Super original. At first you want to put the killer sister in a neat box as a psycho then you realize that it goes deeper. This book will stay on my mind for a while.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was great! I found myself feeling for the main character and getting frustrated with the way they treated her sister. They really got me with the ending, all I have are questions, but that's fine. I really enjoyed this book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An easy listen, the translator could have done a better job with the pronunciation of the names.
An interesting story line - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I found my self locked in to this story. I could not stope listening to it. The secrets we keep our family/sisters.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is so beautiful. Highly recommend! Also, the narrator is awesome
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this story. The writing is captivating and the characters are layered, relatable and intriguing. I'm sure a part two would be just as good.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So fun!!! I just wish it was longer and more bloody, but still a great story! Ayoola is such a fun character!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The book was very well written and interesting. It didn’t focus on the sister being a killer but more on the relationship between the sisters. Some more character development could have been there but I overall enjoyed the book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book kept me on edge until the very end. I loved it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It's a tough read. I definitely loved the audio book more in this case.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5. It kind of got boring at times but I liked the writing.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Clever story. Interesting end. I was expecting more, but ....
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book started out slow. Real slow.
It’s true, however if you make it to the end, it’s really an interesting read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Captivating and filled with incredible writing, suspense, and compassion.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Never read a book like this until know. It’s like while reading it seemed so real! I gave this 5 stars because it kept me on edge of what would happen next with these two sisters. The sisters are very close to the point that tho it’s the younger sister that does the killing the older sister will do what it takes to dispose of the body and clean everything but they let you know not to use bleach and why. I was so amazed on the cleanliness after each murder. This is a must read.... there’s never a boring minute in this book! I finished in 2 days
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Interesting, quick listen. I thought it would be more of an actual "serial killer" type novel but the focus was more on the relationship between the sisters. The characters were well rounded and the story itself was unique. Short enough to keep you from losing interest with unnecessary filler but long enough to create the depth a complete story requires. Plus, the narrator's dialect was very fitting to the atmosphere.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Different, twisty and totally unpredictable. Well written and well thought out with characters you feel you know. Excellent!! I want more from this author

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Outstanding. The narrator was outstanding as well! Love the story and didn’t want it to end. Lol more please.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Something about the ending just bothered me. I have over a handful of unanswered questions. I would definitely read it again, but still I wish there was more substance to specific situations within the story.
