About this audiobook
Paige McAllister needs to do something drastic. Her boyfriend can't even commit to living in the same country, her promised promotion is dead on arrival, and the simultaneous loss of her brother and her dream of being a concert violinist has kept her playing life safe and predictable for six years. Things need to change. A moment of temporary insanity finds her leaving her life in Chicago to move to Sydney, Australia. There she finds herself, against many of her convictions, as a logistics planner for one of Australia's biggest churches, and on a collision course with her boss's son.
Josh Tyler fronts a top-selling worship band and is in demand all over the world. But, in the past, his failed romantic relationships almost destroyed both his reputation and his family. He's determined to never risk it happening again. The last thing he needs is some American girl tipping his ordered life upside down. Especially one who despises everything he's ever worked for and manages to push every button he has.
When Josh and Paige are thrown together to organize his band's next tour, the sparks fly. But can they find a way to bridge the differences that pull them apart? Or will they choose the safety and security of what they know over taking a chance on something that will require them to risk everything?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved every minute of this audiobook. You should try it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a really funny but compelling story with an entertaining narrator.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Some good laughs and equal amount of tears. A emotional roller coaster that I really enjoyed!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really got sucked into this modern day romance story - I couldn't put it down as I waited for the couple to finally decide to get together. Paige, the leading lady, dumps her can't make a commitment boyfriend and then decides the best way for her to move on with her life is to move to Austrailla. Josh, our leading man, is the lead singer of a Christian worship band and the son of the pastor of a mega-church in Sydney. Both of them have secrets from their past that they guard fiercly. They also have both formed a wrong impression about each other at the beginning, which leads to some great tension as they work through their mutual attraction and slowly learn the truth about each other. As you can tell, this book is filled with modern day evangelical Christian church culture - so readers who are familar with that world or really curious about it will probably enjoy it best. It also takes is filled with lots of details about Austraillan culture and customs - which I found interesting and sometimes very amusing. And the audio version was wonderful as the narrator did a great job voicing all the Austraillan accented characters and that really made me feel like I was there. The author throws a lot of wit and humorous situations into the story, which made it a fun listen as well. It was definitley like a romantic comedy on steroids in some places. There are some serious themes as well, as both characters have had past experiences that have made them question, doubt or just be in turmoil about their faith, their purpose in life, and whether or not it's worth it to take risks. Fans of contemporary Christian romance, witty humor, and shows like The Bachelor should enjoy this one!
