The ability to recognize logical fallacies when they occur is an essential life skill. Mastering Logical Fallacies is the clearest, boldest, and most systematic guide to dominating the rules and tactics of successful arguments. This book offers methodical breakdowns of the logical fallacies behind exceedingly common, yet detrimental, argumentative mistakes, and explores them through real life examples of logic-gone-wrong.

Designed for those who are ready to gain the upper hand over their opponents, this master class teaches the necessary skills to identify your opponents' misuse of logic and construct effective arguments that win. With the empowering strategies offered in Mastering Logical Fallacies you'll be able to reveal the slight-of-hand flaws in your challengers' rhetoric, and seize control of the argument with bulletproof logic.

This is a terrible book. The writer of this is very biased and he makes his own false arguments. The book is not even what it is advertised to be. Zero stars.

It’s really interesting to see the author insert his politics into this book and commit multiple fallacies himself. I’m guessing the 5 star reviews are from people who agree with him or fools who can’t see his bias.

He committed the greatest fallacy of all: he is very biased. Yet, I don't want to commit another fallacy, called ad hominem, by not recommending this book. There is plenty of information on this book.

This book had potential. This book could have really helped raise up a new group of people who can help Americans learn to have conversations. However, this book was written by a political hack who only wants to push forward his own agenda, in doing so, he commits the very fallacies he is writing against.

This would be better to have as a physical book than an audiobook. That said, it's still a pleasantly concise overview of common fallacies.

My only complaints are that chapters sometimes cut off the end of a sentence, and some of the real life examples aren't.

Mostly okay. The author does, however, commit several logical fallacies himself in the book. The one I found the most amusing came when talking about Trump and his policies and arguments regarding illegal immigration. The author starts by strawmanning Trump's arguments by claiming Trump's position is that "illegal immigrants take our jobs and live on welfare" and that Trump does this to appeal to emotion and his arguments don't need to be addressed. However, the premises that illegal immigration depresses the wages of low skill workers and costs taxpayers' money are sound. The fact that this produces an emotional response in low skill laborers and taxpayers is irrelevant.

Great examples. Would be a perfect beginners book for someone just starting to learn this topic if not for the constant a,b,p, etc references.
