About this audiobook

Conjure, also known as Hoodoo or Rootwork, is an old, powerful, and increasingly popular system of North American folk magic. Hoodoo Sen Moise has been studying this tradition and working with Conjure for over thirty-five years. Here in Working Conjure, he explores Conjure's history, principles, fundamentals, and ethics, while simultaneously providing a practical how-to guide to actually "working" Conjure and making Conjure work for you.

I really was skeptical about this book but I am glad one of my Spirits is much less a skeptic than I am when it comes to people of a certain heritage and their thoughts on conjure. This book was clear and informative and didn't attempt to ignore where root working/conjure came from. Loved it so much I bought the book too.

This book is phenomenally written and is extremely insightful. This will be forever cherished and highly praised amongst the books that I hold dear.

Good introduction although I would have liked to hear more about how to work with the spirits. The collection of rituals is a good start, too, but I feel like there could have been more use cases covered. I liked the narration and overall tone of the book.

I grew up in NC, and I felt like I was sitting down with a long lost relative who knew all the family’s forgotten (and perhaps shunned) magical secrets. A wonderful primer.
