About this audiobook

Binge read this in one sitting yesterday! And I'm going to be honest, I'm absolutely spellbound by this series." - Angie, Angie's Dreamy Reads ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What’s a girl to do after being ditched at the altar by text message? That’s right. Text. Message.

How does she pick up the pieces and move on? I’m no Dear Abby but here’s a little free advice…

Advice #1 – First, purge your apartment of all things him—by tossing his belongings off the balcony.

Advice #2 – Do not, I repeat do not, throw anything out into the hallway because you’ll injure your hot new neighbor.

Advice #3 – When said neighbor brings over Chinese Food do not let him stay and keep you company. It’s awkward when you realize he’s your boss.

Advice #4 – Accept his offer to help you with your side business but think twice before using a date to his sister’s wedding as collateral.

Advice #5 – Investigate who your mystery neighbor really is. Don’t trust his word even if he’s the world’s best kisser.

If you listen to nothing else, pay attention to that last one. It’s the most important and will save you a lot of heartache.

xo,

(Wyatt & Brooklyn): this was a really sweet book and I didn't realize it was connected to a book I read last year "Birth of a Baby Daddy". Brooklyn is one of the illusive Bailey's and unfortunately she's been left at the altar. After getting rid of her exes things she meets her new neighbor, Wyatt. Wyatt is in town from New York to find out how well the hotel his father bought is running. This is great Hallmark material. A really sweet story. I love that your get to know more of the Bailey's in personality only. The chemistry between the main characters is undeniable though the romance is a slow burn. I really enjoyed this.

I was dying to get into Brooklyn's book since the tease from book 1. Unfortunately, it definitely wasn't as steamy at all as the first book but the comedy and family drama was all there, which is the foundation of the whole series.

Wyett and Brooklyn have to navigate very difficult ground.

    A) Brooklyn just got left at the alter

    B) Wyett is the boss of the hotel Brooklyn works at but doesn't want anyone to know while he's undercover

At some point something has to give, especially when you throw a romance into the mix. Brooklyn really tried to fight it off with being so fresh on the single train again but Wyett made everything so much more difficult by just breathing.

I loved them both together and the little bits of drama that came through the story, not just between them but also with the family. Piper Rayne added some great little tib bits for the rest of the series to continue.

NOTE: A few reviewers on Goodread stated that the author makes light of a sexual assault. The sentence they quote references a grand mother grabbing a guy's butt. The context is meant to be humorous and before 2015,it would have been considered comedic. It is not the same as a guy or girl making unwanted advances with the intent to do more regardless of what the other person wanted. Just my 2 cents.

I did enjoy this story quite a bit and appreciate how the author uses the people of the town to enhance each story. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Lovely wee book, not as sexy as the first book in the series but at no point was it boring. Both Wyett and Brooklyn were great characters which is why enjoyed story. Also love how each book ends with a teaser for what is going to be the next book's drama.
