      Expected more, while admiring the 50th book accomplishment. Formulaic, but each case is unique and engaging usually, this one did not draw me in. I’ve enjoyed Eve and Roarke’s relationship and growth but find myself skimming through the same breakfast/morning routine, the cat thing, and him stepping in to tie the strings up on a case while she just seems selfish instead of appreciative with her supposed advancement to a feeling person/wife. Roarke has been neutered, what a shame. Hoping the author recaptures the original lightning with the next book.

      It is enjoyable book and the will of the killer can never know that they are not that smart. In their opinion they think they are not failed badly.
