About this audiobook
Book 1: SEALs of Honor
Brave, badass warriors who serve their country with honor and love their women to the limits of life and death.
In a dangerous profession where it's kill or be killed, Mason undertakes the dirty jobs others would rather not do--and invariably don't possess the skills he does to get done right. While on an assignment, he's single-minded in his dedication and focus. When he's not, this warrior plays as hard as he fights. The last thing he anticipates is meeting the one woman he wants but can't have…and equally can't forget.
Tesla, a software designer, lost her brother in combat. Getting close to another man enlisted in the military is something she refuses to do. In her quest to save other United States soldiers from her sibling's tragic fate, she's created a computer program capable of saving lives. When other countries find out about the program, her good intentions are met with hostility and greed. They won't stop until they get their hands on it, and damn anyone who gets in the way. Realizing she's in danger, Tesla turns to Mason, the only man who might be able to save her--the very one she doesn't dare fall in love with…

Dale Mayer
Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you'll want to cuddle close. She's long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her - and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres! And that's okay too. There is one guarantee with each book - it will be a great read - each and every time.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I wanted to like this book. I REALLY did but honestly I have no idea why it has so many 5 stars. These are NAVY SEALS. Bad-a guys who go through hell to win that title and these guys disappointed. It’s a life and death mission. Rescue a woman who has a program that could save thousands of US soldiers. So what do you do? Why kiss her while your jumping out of a burning helicopter. WTH it just got worse from there. Tesla is captured 4 times. Let that sink in. 4. 3 of them while under the protection of the US Seals. Yup. I mean at this point shouldn’t they realize there’s an inside man and that they are completely incompetent at their jobs. Then there’s Tesla herself. I wanted to like her character. She was strong, brave and going something selfless. Ultimately I couldn’t like her because she was such a complete and utter jerk to Mason. Her and hawk get captured (this is like the 3rd time) and she flat out tells Hawk it’s masons fault. Hawk tells her how guilty Mason is going to feel but it’s not his fault. He was following a direct order and ensuring the venue she was to speak at was safe. So what does this horrid woman do? Mason who is feeling guilty as hell tells her how sorry he is and she says “GOOD.” And that about sums up her attitude towards him the whole time. Constantly blaming him personally for it. Granted they are the team to rescue her but they were also following leads and orders. Plus they weren’t the only people protecting her! How can you blame one man? Especially when 2 of those captured took place when other people were “protecting” her, and I use that word loosely because clearly everyone in this book was incompetent of that. Only thing they seemed to be able to do was rescue. So so so disappointed with this

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Mason & Tesla- TRIGGERS: kidnapping & assault. Slow burn not much romance but a lot of action.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Basically a decent, fast-paced novel.
There are some consistent flaws throughout. Mayer is lazy about precise usage, referring to stairs on ships and boats rather than companionways, calling decks of ships/boats floors, and not using ream as a collective noun, thus using the wrong verb. Among others. UsGoogle, blast it, and get it right or get an editor with a better vocabulary.
The narrator was apparently directed to use a dialectical pronunciation for verbs such as couldn’t/wouldn’t/didn’t, then slipping up and using general American pronunciation, which seemed to be his natural manner of speaking from time to time. In addition, some strange mispronunciations slipped in such as bellied” for “bē lī d”. These were unfortunately consistent. And there were too many of them.
Now if Mayer could only bring herself to tone down or essentially skip the boring and repetitive sex scenes, I would rate these novels more highly.
Still, the books make a pleasant distraction, barring the irritants.
