No one is good enough for her son…

As a single mother, Annie has an especially close relationship with her son, Ben. They have always been together. Just the two of them. So, when Ben brings home his mysterious beautiful new wife, Daisy, immediately Annie doesn’t trust her. Who is this woman who has taken her son away from her? And what is she hiding?

She’ll protect him with her life…

When Ben disappears, suddenly Annie and Daisy are all the other one has. Alone in Annie’s big, remote house, just the two of them, the tension is rising. And like any protective mother, Annie will stop at nothing to expose her new daughter in law, and the secrets she is hiding…

Who is Grace? I figured it out but why did I have too. I didn't like or care about the characters. The pivotal character Daisy is nausiatingly dumb, seriously dumb. Listening to the book was equivalent to listening to a relative talk about her life of drama. You hear the words but sit falling asleep.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a great story and always kept you wanted to hear just a bit more. I couldn’t put it down till the end. I read it stray through. It’s hard to find a book with a story line that hasn’t been told before whit this one was different and I loved it. If your looking for a story that hasn’t been told before this is it, I know you will enjoy it.

Pretty good, a lot better than I was expecting after reading a number of negative reviews. Kept my interest throughout and kept me guessing as well as to what was really going on. Granted it is a little far fetched, but I think books like this need to be taken with a grain of salt and suspension of reality, to sit back and allow yourself to just be entertained!! Worth a listen...☺️

Wow. I really didn’t like this book. The lead characters were off the rails and I didn’t buy any of it. I finished it in the hopes it would somehow redeem itself. Alas, it did not.

It was well written but rather long-it also started off a bit slow. The twist was great and the narrators did a wonderful job.

the story was way too drawn out.
Story did not get intetesting until the last 4 chapters and this book was lllllllong!

Not too badly written, but much too self indulgent in description. BUT the most damning omission: why did Ben leave Daisy if it wasn’t because of her past?
    Glaring mistake!!!!

Should the title be Mother In law? The story revolves around her.

This is a formulaic and predictable book that I literally figured out within the first several minutes. If you’re a fan of mind numbing Lifetime movies you might enjoy this, although you’ve read or seen it many times before. If you like a book that makes you think and truly engrosses you, this is not for you.

The story was formulaic. I knew the outcome after listening to a few chapters. Too many unanswered questions. What happened to Mike? Alice? Rory? What was the favor Jenny had asked of Grace? Who was on the news that made Annie anxious? How had the blunt force trauma occurred to Eve? What happened to Daisy’s parents? Daisy was not the most likable character. Ben lacked development. I wish there had been more time with Eve and Patrick - THEY were interesting.
