Started pretty good. But really didn't explain the program well enough for a such a long book. I have a medical professional professional degree and expected more.

Seems really well backed but a couple of parts I think they were biased on particularly the machines they had a part in developing. Overall much better book on the subject than some of these celebrity trainers looking to cash in on our obesity problem.

Such an eye opener. It made me question all my beliefs around exercise and it's relationship to health and fitness. I am determined to try what was suggested and to learn more about this subject.

May not as solid on the science as it seems. For more information try to get a understanding of high volume vs low volume from other sources.

A strong body is key to good health and quality aging. This book does provide key insights into how strength training enables this. And does a far better job than (perhaps all) other books of this genre.

The system didn't work for me. I used it for about three months. During that time I lost significant mass and tone, and also gained fat in my torso. The book makes a case that seems reasonable to the lay reader, but with results like mine, I have to recommend heavy skepticism.
