About this audiobook

The perfect man for me is a charming, sexy, hot as hell lawyer who knows how to negotiate his way into my panties.

#Pfftwhatever

Been there.

Done that.

Burned the T-shirt.

I didn't swear off all men after my divorce, but I sure as hell swore off anyone remotely like my ex. On the top of that list? Attorneys. Everyone knows they can't be trusted.

Now that I've moved back into my childhood home in Chicago, my focus is my daughter, my mom and me. I haven't given up on finding my happily-ever-after, it's just on hold-indefinitely. Yup, life is in a real upswing.

Then I see Reed Warner again, and I'm reminded of all my mistakes. I push him away, but somehow he weasels his way into every part of my life, not willing to take no for an answer.

In spite of my better judgment I can't stop thinking about the way his designer suits fit his muscular frame, or the way his blue eyes seem to eat me up with every glance.

You know when you're on a diet and even hummus seems irresistible? Reed is like the equivalent of chocolate éclair and my willpower is fading fast.

The problem? Not only is he a lawyer…

He was the best man at my wedding.

I enjoyed it but it's missing a chapter before the epilogue. I had to go find the book in order to figure out when they got back together.

Completely missing at least 1 chapter in the end. Ruins the book for me.

Victoria: man does she have a chip in her shoulder. I get that her creep or an ex is a lawyer and he cheated on her but she is so rude and judge mental of Reid for being a lawyer bc of it. Even though he seems NOTHING like her ex. He’s not a defense attorney, he’s the opposite who works in the DA office. So he’s not all about money and power, he’s about justice. Add to that he’s been volunteering with the big brother program SINCE HIGH SCHOOL. Add into the chip that the author has made fun of stay at home moms which I might add I am and I want to throttle her. Not all SAHM dress in yoga outfits, sit around binge eating and watching soaps. Are you freaking kidding me.
So far I have not been impressed with the books by the author. Again I like the hero but her heroine have very little redeeming qualities, if any. We will see if my opinion changes as the book continues.

It’s official. This author just isn’t my style. The story grew on me a little so it got 3 stars but I just had so many issues with Victoria. At one point she was upset that Reid was trying to talk her into a long distance relationship and in the same freaking breathe she was mad when he walked away. I really liked Reid but the men by this author bend over backwards for these women. She gets all up in arms that he would ask her to come to NY bc he got offered a job as DA. I great opportunity for him. He says they can work it out. They can do long distance till she figures out school then she and her mom could move out to be with him. He was trying. Her she was automatically pissed he would leave her. I just didn’t get it. I mean she didn’t even try. She could have talked to her mom, feel her out. Talked to her daughter, tried the long distance. No it was just a poor me why is he choosing a job over me. I guarantee if the shoe was on the other foot she’d be pissed that he wouldn’t move for her to have a great job opportunity.
Plus the ending gave me whip lash. The more and more I write this review the more I realize I can’t give it 3 stars.
