About this series

The New York Times best-selling series continues with a thrilling revelation - brand-new tribes of dragons!

Some secrets are deadly. It's no secret that Sundew wants to destroy the HiveWings. It's her life's mission to exact revenge on the tribe that tried to wipe out the LeafWings and ripped every tree from the surface of Pantala.

Every tree, that is, except the wild and dangerous Poison Jungle, where the surviving LeafWings have been hiding since the war. Hiding, plotting, and waiting for a dragon like Sundew, who is uniquely qualified to bring down the Hives.

There are dark secrets in the jungle, though - some that Sundew is keeping, and some that she's only just beginning to discover. And now that a new war is upon them, Sundew and her friends must unearth the oldest secret in the jungle - even if what they find has the power to destroy them all.

Tui T Sutherland

Tui T. Sutherland & Kari Sutherland are sisters and best friends, and if you can’t tell by looking at them which one is older, Tui certainly isn’t going to tell you. They grew up in South America, traveling a lot and moving several times (and they’re still only about 80 percent certain that their parents weren’t secret agents). Kari now lives in California, while Tui lives in Boston, but they use every excuse they can to see each other (like, say, writing a book together).

For this being the final book of one of my favorite series, that I’ve spent years reading and rereading, it was very slow and lacked the charm and fast pacing of the previous books. Definitely preferred the 1st and 2nd arcs. Some of the subtext was also weirdly political.

I liked pretty much all of it, I the whole “othermind” thing was cool, especially how it turned out to be Cottonmouth and Lizard/Freedom all along! Lizard/Freedom was annoying in the beginning, and then she was more agreeable after she saw the memories.

This book collection is by far one of my most favorite to listen to. My most favorite prophecy is the Jade Mountain Prophecy and my most favorite character is Quimby. He is very inquisitive, kind of like Cricket. And he analyzes every angle before executing an idea. I enjoy the spek of romance that was squeezed into there. Especially the one between Peril and Clay. Thank you Tui T Sutherland for the thrilling adventure that you created, and Shannon McManus for being such a great, expressive reader. I am looking forward to the next book.

Great series. My 7 year old and his classmate are both listening to the audio book and discuss what is happening. This series deals with really big issues (war, prejudice, unrequited love, finding your life's purpose) in a way elementary students can understand. I'm amazed at how they remember all the different characters. We started when a teacher suggested we're work on remembering the plot of a story. These are long, but so engaging that it's really helped. I love the humor, too. "Think of cows, big, juicy cows." We're almost to the end of this series and have started the graphic novels for Warriors, some of which are written by the same author under a pseudonym.

This is a love story between two female dragons that are going to get married. Yes there is danger, drama and excitement, however, it this took away from the actual story and jerked the story theme around. It is quite biased. Out of 14 books, this is the only one so far that has a story where their feelings are accentuated. Yes, the other books have had ^special^ feelings for another dragon, however, they weren’t romance stories, I have absolutely loved the rest of them. As you can tell I don’t care much for romance lit.
