About this series
The past, present, and future are all at stake in this final book in the thrilling time travel adventure trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Stuart Gibbs.
Greg Rich should feel invincible. After all, he’s traveled through time, become one of the legendary Musketeers, and—most recently—prevented the Spanish army from attacking Paris.
Instead, he and his friends are languishing in prison, having fallen into a trap set by Milady and the Prince of Condé. But Greg didn’t come to the seventeenth century to sit in a jail cell and await execution.
He, Aramis, Athos, and Porthos need to get to King Louis, who is in immediate danger of being overthrown by the scheming prince. To save the king and history itself, the boys must break out of prison, defend Louis, and return Greg and his parents to the twenty-first century before it’s too late.

Loyalty is tested in this second book in the thrilling time travel adventure trilogy from New York Times bestselling Spy School author Stuart Gibbs. Having assumed the identity of a young D’Artagnan, Greg Rich is beginning to get the hang of things in 1615 Paris. But he hasn’t figured out how to get home yet. Or how to defeat the dangerous Michel Dinicoeur, who has made it his mission to destroy Greg, Athos, Aramis, and Porthos. When Dinicoeur escapes the Bastille and flees to Spain, the Musketeers charge after him, only to be ambushed. Someone is anticipating their every move. Could there be a traitor in their midst? If the Musketeers can’t trust each other, who can they trust? It’s “all for one and one for all” . . . isn’t it? And don’t miss the action-packed finale, The Last Musketeer #3: Double Cross.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Excellent series — tho books 2 and 3 will make little sense unless read in order after book 1. I only take one star off because of some silly flubs an editor or even a beta reader should have caught. For example, the main character meets his great-great-(several more greats) grandmother from whom he’s descended. Yet he says she shares his mother’s eyes — even tho he’s descended from her through his father. Other little points that make one think, “But what about the….” Despite these, the series is fun as all get out and feels like a truly original tale.
