- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A fascinating investigation into the “why” of storytelling. From this well researched background, the author, then examines character, plot, theme and other ideas and how they inform the art and craft of storytelling. Lots of fascinating ideas that provide the basis for lots of practical writing tips. Highly recommended!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent. A book that makes you reconsider how you understand stories, and the world.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Inspiring. Lovely take on writing. Made me think deeply about how human behavior and writing are intertwined.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fascinating in its application to both life and stories. Totally worth listening to at least twice!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The religious scholarship on this is ludacris, but said with such confidence that I doubt the scholarship of the entire work. Nothing new from a literary standpoint not covered by Save the Cat, other than identifying your character's method of controlling the world.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great audiobook. Highly recommended thank you waiting for more of this
