There are real Amelia Bedelia books, but this one is a graded reader and that is I suppose inoffensive but uninspiring, and who has the time. These are for kindergarteners to read to themselves at quiet time, while busy grownups exert some curatorial savvy for bedtime.

This book is great for children who are just learning to read. It tells the story about a girl who's best friend moved away and she wants a new friend. Good story to learn about making friends.
