About this audiobook
The first comprehensive biography of iconic singer-songwriter Chris Cornell.
Total F*cking Godhead is the complete story of the complex and enigmatic artist, Chris Cornell. It's the riveting account of a blue collar, high-school dropout emerging from Seattle, Washington, to become one of the greatest singer-songwriters and voices of his generation. With input from people who knew and worked with him-together with Cornell's own words-the book recounts in great detail the rise of his immortal band Soundgarden as they emerged from the 1980s post-punk underground to dominate popular culture in the '90s alongside other Seattle bands like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Nirvana.
Long-time Seattle resident and rock writer Corbin Reiff examines Cornell's dynamic solo career as well as his time in Audioslave. He delves into his hard-fought battle with addiction, as well as the supercharged reunion with the band that made him famous before everything ended tragically.
This is the story of an artist who channeled his own inner turmoil into songs that touched the hearts of millions around the world and turned Chris Cornell into one of music's greatest icons.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book, Soundgarden were my favourite band growing up and I loved Chris. His music got me through a lot of hard times and a lot of great times. Soundgarden’s music played a part in any cool thing I did and experienced. Major part of the soundtrack to my life. This book is great because it has so many details that I never knew about and revived my love for all things Chris. Excellent work by the writer and excellent lifetime by Chris Cornell. The best singer I’ve ever heard and had the joy to rock out to.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great, writt en with passion and love, clearly by a supa-fan.
Ok it is a bit long and has a bit too much detail in places, but I loved the ride, learnt a lot about Chris and some of the bands I adore. One for any Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave or grunge music fan. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautiful and tragic. A journey through the life of Chris Cornell from his youth until his untimely death. Full of insights on his songs and life that fill in missing information that I always wondered about. Would definitely recommend for any Soundgarden fan.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5REALLY well done. The author really did his research. I was impressed to find out a few things I’d never heard about before ! I have been a huge fan of Soundgarden and all things Chris since I was 13 and I’m 45 now so the majority of my life. His loss has been devastating for everyone that loved him. Thank you so much for presenting such a well written account of his wonderful career, I loved it. I just wish he was still in this world?

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The back story was a welcome education. However, I hated this guy's voice and choice of descriptive words. It just felt like something I'd read in People magazine delivered by Casey Kasum.
