This was a difficult audiobook to get through. The tone with which the author reads lacks any variety. At times I feel he is just reading a diary entry to himself. It is also difficult to get past the authors preconceived stereotypes of the UNited States, and his hatred of our political system (a bit odd that he brings these things up so often). I listened to this as research for my thru hike of the Appalachian trail. I got out of it what I needed, but could have discovered it elsewhere.
