She’s a total stranger. But she knows who you are…

Suzi did a bad thing. She’s paying for it now, pregnant, scared, and living in an isolated cottage with her jealous husband, Nick.

When Nora moves into the only house nearby, Suzi is delighted to have a friend. So much so that she’s almost tempted to tell Nora her terrible secret. But there’s more to Nora than meets the eye. It’s impossible—does she already know what Suzi did?

Meanwhile, Elle spends her days in her perfect home, fixated on keeping up appearances. But when her husband betrays her, it unravels a secret going all the way back to her childhood. She’ll do whatever it takes to hold on to him, even if that means murder. After all, she’s done it before…

Caught up in their own secrets and lies, these strangers will soon realise they have more in common than they could ever have imagined. When a shocking event brings them together, their lives will never be the same again.

I found the characters hard to keep apart and they moved too quickly between them.

This story was very hard to follow . The author did not provide enough transition between characters which mad things very confusing

I don’t think I can get all the way to the end because it’s SO confusing with all the characters that have lies and false names smh

The story was compelling, with a few minor issues.
The main plot is one of domestic suspense. Who is going to be the abusive one? Who is going to be the savior? How is it all going to play out, because your gut is telling something is up.
The minor issue is the use of varried timelines. The author chose to mix in a few times jumps, but it seems they were intentionally convoluted to up the suspense. Instead, it was simply confusing at time. Ultimately it all played out and worked out fine, but it did take some extra thinking to understand the time jumps.

Overall, good story with some great suspenseful moments.

Save your time, 80% of the book is really boring, no suspense till the last chapters and unnecessary povs

Twists to the story made it interesting. I did figure out some of the plot twists but still enjoyed the story. Performance was good too.

Wow! I feel like I just went through a house of mirrors backwards and blindfolded. Sometimes confusing the back and forth from person to person. Good plot and ended well but it was a long ride to get there. Narrators were great.

I liked it but I didn't love it. It was extremely slow in the beginning but it eventuality picked up and I couldn't put it down at that point. The last four to six chapters were fantastic and had twists I didn't see coming. I highly recommend this to everyone over the age of 17.

3.5 stars rounded upThe Other Wife is a story of jealousy and revenge. When Suzi has an affair with a man she meets at a conference, she believes she has found her true love. Now she is pregnant, the man seems to have vanished, and Suzi’s husband, Nick, has become increasingly controlling. Stressed out, Suzi confesses everything to her new neighbor, Nora, not knowing that Nora already knows all about the affair.Told using varying timelines, this story kept my interest, but in the end, things seemed too neatly tied up, and too many unlikely things happened. Still,I look forward to the author’s next novel.

Book Review 4/5Suzi and Nick life on an isolated street on the outskirts of town, where there are only 2 houses. The second house will soon be occupied by their new neighbor, Nora. Suzi and Nora become acquaintances but Suzi has secrets. Secrets she can never tell anyone, especially her husband Nick. But can she keep her secrets from Nora... and does Nora know more then she lets on?Suspenseful and page turning you will get tangled into this web of lies, secrets and deceit. Just when you think you know exactly what’s going to happen, you get a little twist in the story. This was a really good read. The pacing was perfect, it kept giving you new things to think about throughout the book. And I kept thinking “I know what’s going to happen”... well, nope... I was wrong. I liked the way it was written, it a back and forth between Suzi and Nora, and I didn’t find it hard to follow. There were also a couple times it jumped to the future, which I thought just added to the suspense. There were twists and turns towards the end which I LOVE, and you don’t expect them. The characters were nicely written also, although Suzi”s character bothered me a little bit. All in all it was a good read, definitely a page turner. I would recommend it if your looking for a good suspense novel.

A women who can't help but have an affair moves to a very isolated place. with her husband. Months later a women moves into a cottage next door. And so the story begins and we get to know the characters. I feel like if I explained anymore it would spoil the story.. This was a very Intriguing , entertaining book. One I couldn't put down. The author did a great job keeping me entertained and wanting to know whats going to happen next. Even though I guessed at a couple things happening in the story it did not wreck the story in any way. Many twists and turns in the book I never expected and kept me wanting more..

What a tangled web we weave. But who is doing the deceiving?Suzi’s husband, Nick has moved her to the wilderness, an old uninviting cold stone cottage style home in the middle of nowhere. She’s largely pregnant and has no one around to talk to. Forced to quit her job and stay at home playing the good housewife, she is unhappy and lonely. Soon, though, a woman moves in next door in the only home around for many miles and Suzi is elated to finally have someone else around. Before long, strange things start happening. Music and lights turning oh by themselves. Words in the snow. Suzi confides in her neighbour, a total stranger, about the real reason her husband moved them away from everything. But is Nora really a stranger? And why did she move to such an isolated place in the country? Odd things happening and bodies are piling up and Suzi has nowhere to turn as she tries to make sense of all that is going on. Oh, this was a delicious twisty read with many many surprises. And they kept on coming. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, something else was thrown into the mix. I had never read this author before until earlier this month when I read “what she did” and I liked it so much I moved right on into “the other wife”. I never read an author back to back, just an odd quirk of mine so it really says a lot about how much I enjoyed the first book of hers that I had read. Psychological thrillers are easy to come by. So many are written and it’s my favourite genre by far, so it’s difficult to find one that isn’t like all the others and offers me something different. I only give 5 stars to the very best ones and this one fits that for me. An isolated spooky setting, so many twists and turns in this suspenseful gem. Solid five star for me. Thank you to the publishers and net galley for allowing me the privilege to read and review this book in exchange of an honest review.
