About this audiobook

I’m a killer. He’s a bounty hunter. A match made in Hell. Literally.

Waking up at the foot of your own grave is no picnic… especially when you can’t remember how you got there.

A year ago, I was a college senior still living with my parents. Now? I’m the boogeyman of Ascension, TN, snapping up rogues and draining them dry.

That is until I’m ensnared by a mysterious bounty hunter whose blood and body I crave.

We’ll likely kill each other once it’s all said and done, but until then, he’s bound to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Unless I can convince him to follow me to the dark side.

I was pleasantly surprised at this quick and easy read. I loved the sass of the main character and the forming of her found family.

The beginning of another good series. This had the familiar bumps of a new series as it introduces characters and plotlines. I have high hopes for the series and will definitely keep reading.

Really liked it. Sassy and mouthy, just as I like a main character. Hope the second is as good.

It made me laugh and cry then laugh and cry some more. The level of snark from Sloan is amazing and she has yet to fall into the narrative trap of making an uncharacteristically stupid decision for the sake of progressing the plot on a dramatic fashion.

Really enjoyed! Love the main character and voice actor not monotone like some books.

I loved it, always refreshing when the main character has a really well-written personality. And she is spunky and modern. I love the plot and the intro was really well written.

My only critique is that pace of the story was too fast. The plot should have been drawn out to give the world they live in, the character relationships, and the event that unfolded more time to develop naturally. Instead, everything is kinda thrown at you after a certain point of the story...And the whole "they don't want me here" character TROPE thrown in at the end was a bit annoying and cliche. which was a surprise cause the intro and the main character is super refreshing.

I do love how the author acknowledges her trauma and hard time coping once in a safe environment. I think that is something most people do not acknowledge when writing characters who survive a tragedy.

Even with my issues, this book was a fun ride. Made my day really good. I laugh a lot. So 5 stars for me.

Enjoyed the story, the characters, and the narrator. Although, having listened to other books by Annie, she does have a 'type' for her main character - not that I mind too much!

Great book! I think the narrator helps make it 1000% better. It's the type of book that you need to be able to feel the feelings in the words. The narrator helps do that instead of being monotoned.
