- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the narrators of both the male and females leads, they captured the characters so well. I also enjoyed this book purely because you don't ofyen read about body image from a man's perspective, always from the woman's, so this was a fresh take on that topic.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I LOVED this book! It is SO much more than a "student/professor" romance!
Adorable FMC....and this MMC! This "hot professor" isn't just your cliche' grumpy alpha type....the author gives him REAL WORLD issues that he's working through, and the REAL WORLD situation of being a virgin in his 30s. (Far more common than people think!)
My quibbles would be that there's a lot going on in this book, and that there's a few elements that much is made of, only for them to never really play a role in the story. For instance, the fact that the FFC is a "lingerie model" really just seems to exist in order to create the fantasy scenario that creates tension between teacher/student. There's a lot of chatter about her job through out the book, but we never see her DOING it again, and really doesn't effect the story one way or the other.
And the fact that she was "the brunette from the gym" who was always kind to him even when he was overweight.....I kept waiting for him to bring that up to her at some point, and was disappointed that he never did. Or that we never got HER insight as to WHY she went out of her way to be friendly to the people at the gym who weren't the typical gym rats, but ignored the ones who were.
This quibbles are just by way of pointing out that the book wasn't perfect, because other than that....THE BOOK WAS PRETTY PERFECT!!! And wonderfully enhanced by the narrations jobs, as well. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Better read out of the two books in the series.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I'm not sure if I liked this book that much or I'm in love with Fiona's voice!
