She received her primary, secondary and post secondary education in this small town. Anita Hasan suffered betrayal, verbal, physical, emotional and substance abuse. Because of a spiritual foundation instilled in her by her grandmother whom she affectionately called “Big Mama” Hasan was able to endure the many obstacles she faced throughout life. For many years she yearned to find her biological father and after four decades was blessed to be united with him. This union has made a positive impact on her life. Anita speaks to him daily and with his approval and continuous support published her first book. Anita can now add published author to her resume alone with her thirty years working in the medical profession and presently she is an active advocate for The Guardian Ad Litem organization there she’s able to help with abused children through her own experiences. She is passionate about this work and does it in a community service capacity as a way to give back to her community. Anita also gave birth to two children of her own a son and a daughter although she lost her son due to traumatic circumstances.view less
