When my father purchased an LP admitting that he rather fancied the nice lady on the cover, he took Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita” out of my hands and replaced it with Blondie’s “Parallel Lines”. The damage was done and my desire for heavier music was ignited. With my ears alive to the sound of punk rock, goth and, grunge, my baptism into heavy metal and thrash came a few years later when a fan peed down the back of my leg at a Megadeth concert.
I now live near London with my husband and children. London indulges me in all the best gigs; I just have to juggle my family and my job as a PR freelancer and as a contributing writer to online music sites.
My first fictitious book, “Rock Harder” was inspired by the animalistic qualities of live rock music as an all-consuming, breath-taking and physical presence. It catapulted the story into a whirl of daring, funny and rebellious tales and writing it has taught me to find my dark horse and to rock even harder!view less
