The author spent thirty-nine years and seven months as a university administrator before retiring in 2006. He was first introduced to computing in 1967, spending nearly all of his employment in computing, the last twenty-seven years as a director of administrative Information Technology. Arthur began writing his ‘home spun’ quotes in 1986 for his college age daughter, a collection of quotes that now exceeds 350. At the suggestion of his oldest granddaughter, in 2013 he began writing the stories he had told his grandchildren over the years. This effort prompted the author to be a STRONG promoter of not just TELLING our children of our experiences, but recording them for reading later. In addition, he has written about his deceased father as well as his own experiences in the computing arena. None of these have been published to date.view less
