      This book is much much shorter than his beloved 'Ragamuffin Gospel' which I really enjoyed. It was written with the same conviction, but I found it slow moving, especially for such a short book.

      I rated it 4 stars because he wrote something that summed up my entire life, something I have said in psychologist's and psychiatrist's offices for years and I was so pleased to be validated even by someone I do not know.

      It is on page 35 of the book. ' Barring prevenient grace, we humans simply will not accept our life and being as God's gracious gift until someone values us. We can only sense ourselves and our world valued and cherished by God when we feel valued and cherished by others ' ( Something I've to date not experienced, I am more the disposible type ).
