- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Excellent book. Fast read. Psychological thriller.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm glad that it's finished. Not because I didn't like it, but just because it was too spooky and got under my skin. Sidney Sheldon has that effect on you. His stories get under your skin.
Tell Me Your Dreams was full of suspense, gory murders, science and the question of what really was the crime?
A gripping story about hate, illness and controversies, Tell Me Your Dreams was an amazing read! - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a quick read and a typical Sheldon story. There were some gaps in the descriptions of the murders and how inept the police were, but it was written quite awhile ago, so some of it would be different in a post 9/11 world.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was at the bookstore on the weekend and the owner told me they don't sell Sheldon anymore, they just dump them in the free box out front, apparently no one buys them anymore. That really is a shame as he's a brilliant writer and Tell Me Your Dreams is another example of his excellent ability to pull together a story. This time we enter the world of a serial killer only all is not what it appears initially. I won't say more and ruin it, but I can tell you it's good. A mixture of legal, crime & psychology thriller that follows the victims, identifies the perpetrator then goes through their treatment and ends brilliantly.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The way he kept us glued. I loved every bit of it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book. Moved quickly and kept my heart pumping. Gripped me and I have gone back to re-read it numerous times over the years.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was okay.....A little bit lacking in content in terms of dialogue, especially the court dialouge. once again i would say it was easily predictable......very predictable
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have read this book at least 5 times. I always enjoy it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book has a great beginning. I was really hooked. Loved the unexpected twists. It continues to be a good read but becomes more predictable towards the end
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Loved it. Stayed up all night just to get to the end of the story
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Its probably the best novel I've read. Its thrilling and scary at times and the ending is more interesting , wow screwed. hahah
actually i am afraid of toni , she is dangerous alter :p - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I thoroughly enjoyed this book especially it's setting, namely the Silicon Valley. I worked for web start-ups during the internet bubble (the start of the book). Later the trial though the circumstances completely different, the media circus reminds me greatly of our current "trial of the century" up here, the trial of Scott Peterson. But the book in its deceptive simplicity takes on a rather serious subject, MPD and molestation. There's an afterword, contact info for more information and a bibliography.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Simple Narration. The ending could have been written better thought. I didn't Like Dr.Patterson walking free!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Ashley Patterson is a brainy and gorgeous "computer whiz" with a cushy job at a fast-growing start-up computer graphics company in Silicon Valley. She is lonely, shy, and lives a life that is unfulfilling to her. She is also absolutely convinced that someone is stalking her. Toni Prescott and Alette Peters are both co-workers of Ashley's, however the similarities end there. Toni is a saucy, British vixen with a penchant for Internet dating and dancing at discotheques. 'La bella Italiana' Alette is an aspiring artist who prefers quiet, dreamy weekends spent in the arms of handsome painters. Reminiscent of high school, Toni and Alette do their best to keep Ashley out of their cool clique, but find it extremely difficult after a string of murders irrevocably binds their lives together. Toni, Alette and Ashley know virtually nothing about each other until all three women are inexplicably linked into a murder investigation that will lead to one of the most bizarre trials of the century. This book is a work of fiction, but is based on several actual cases. I really enjoyed this book and found it to be an interesting read. I was definitely hooked by the plot and wanted to discover what happened next. The book was laden with such realistic details that I learned plenty of information about certain subjects that I never knew. I give this book an A+! and am eager to read more books by Sidney Sheldon in the future.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not at all scary once I was past the first few pages of stalker stuff. I guessed the main twist before it was revealed and I'd been suspecting that something odd was going on well before then. The final twist didn't exactly come as much of a surprise either. Neither the trial nor the treatment by the doctors in the hospital seemed at all realistic.I'm giving it 6 stars because it did get me to read it all in one sitting.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5loved the book. had quite a twist toward the end of the book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book has a great beginning. I was really hooked. Loved the unexpected twists. It continues to be a good read but becomes more predictable towards the end - hence I gave it 3 1/2 stars instead of 4. The beginning is certainly a 4.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Not one of Mr. Sheldon's best, but still a very fast read. And has everything you need for a Mystery of the Week thriller that is rated R in the movies. The book's main character is Ashley Patterson who works at a Silicon Valley Computer Firm. She is being stalked by a vicious murder and is too insecure to tell anyone about it until its almost too late. Her father is a world famous heart surgeon who appears over protective of his daughter. To say much more would give away the reason for reading the book. The book is a murder mystery and medical courtroom drama all in one. Pick it up to read. It isn't perfect, but then again he based it on a real life story.
