About this ebook
Candid and contemporary, this book gives you a Christian place to turn for answers to your most intimate--and embarrassing--questions.
Billions of people have had sex. Far fewer have made love. In The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex, author Sheila Wray Gregoire helps women see how sexual intimacy was designed to be physically stupendous but also incredibly intimate.
Whether you're about to walk down the aisle, newly married, or you've been married for decades, The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex will lead you on a wonderful journey of discovery toward the amazing sex life God designed you for.
With humor, research, and lots of anecdotes, author Sheila Wray Gregoire helps women see how our culture's version of sex, which concentrates on the physical above all else, makes sex shallow. God, on the other hand, intended sex to unite us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Gregoire walks through these three aspects of sex, showing how to make each amazing, and how to overcome the roadblocks in each area we often encounter.
Drawing on survey results from over 2,000 people, she also includes lots of voices from other Good Girls, giving insight into how other women have learned to truly enjoy sex in marriage.

Reviews for The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Okay, at first, I was really scandalized that Zondervan, the Christian book and Bible publisher, was releasing a book like this. But, after the shock was gone, I was curious how they'd pull this off. Was it really a guide or more of an improve your relationship/advice book?
Turns out, it's a little bit of both and it's tastefully done. Part of it is a guide for soon-to-be-married or newly-wed, inexperienced Christian gals. Part of it focuses on relationship and physical issues that may arise years down the road. The book carefully balances not only the physical needs of a marriage, but the emotional and spiritual needs as well.
For some Christian denominations, the author's viewpoints may be more modern and liberated than what they traditionally teach. However, the author admits that her interpretations, such as Genesis 38 and Lev. 18:22, are what she thinks. She isn't pushy or preachy about it, and recommends couples stick with what they are comfortable with.
I think it'd make a fun bridal shower gift! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you're wondering why on earth God would say wait till marriage for sex in a world where such a command doesn't make sense, then this book will give you great insight. I would even recommend having your fiancé read this book since there are many chapters and sections for men that speak for them even though the book is mainly geared towards women! Even give this book to as many young Christian ladies as you can!! Save them trouble and issues!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Okay, I never ever leave a one star review on a book, but y’all this book is garbage! Very single minded in relation to sex. I had flashbacks from catholic school.
I initially thought well maybe 13-15 year old girls would read this, but the more it went on the more ridiculous it spieled. For instance, it said good girls should not get boys or men worked up because it stated the good girl is ENDANGERING the male whom she works up!! A bunch of crap!
Plus it was so stereotypical stating how men and women feel completely different about sex and of course the women is always cleaning and cooking.
Hello!! We are 2021…DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! There are many other Christian Sex books out there that is based on facts and not just people they asked at church.
