The motivational speaker is more or less an expert or has garnered enough experience and specialization so much so that they have 'cornered' the message of trying till you succeed. He has come to redefine failure as just another insight as to how you should not go about trying to achieve the set goal. Motivational speaking is all about the end goal and getting there in spite of the obstacles and challenges that comes your way. This is motivational talk in its essence. This is supposed to be different from the preachers i.e. the gospel preacher's message on achieving set goals. It is supposed to be different but the unfortunate thing is that the message making the rounds these days does not have any difference as such. And it is this difference we want to look at when it comes to achieving set goals.

What the motivational speaker does is to start from the point of the set goals that has already been stated and look at it with respect to you achieving those set goals no matter the challenges. The motivational speaker emphasizes on giving you tools to deal with the challenges.

The scripture when it comes to achieving set goals has a fundamental starting point that goes back further than that of the motivational speaker. The scripture enjoins you to first of all establish if that set goal is not just according to purpose but whether it is indeed the will of God
