      INTRODUCTION

      February 14th – Valentine’s Day.

      What an emotionally charged day.

      Most women look forward to it. They daydream of their men showering them with gifts and public displays of affection. They long to experience the full expression of a man’s love through the authenticity of his actions and intricacy of his plans, leaving them feeling loved and adored.

      Most men don’t look forward to it. They don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. They know their women are expecting some show of affection. They’ll do what they’ve seen on TV or what their friends told them to do. After implementing their plans, they hope they don’t screw it up.

      This tells me that many people don’t understand Romance or how to get someone who doesn’t understand Romance to understand it.

      When I began writing this book, I wanted to be completely clear on what I was writing about. I wanted to fully understand the meaning of the words Power, Romance and Valentine’s Day. I wanted to know what they mean and what they don’t mean. So, I went to Dictionary.com and looked them up. The definitions were surprising.

      If dictionary definitions bore you, I suggest bypassing the rest of this introduction and go straight to Chapter 1.

      Here’s the first definition of Power:

      pow er noun

      1. ability to do or act; capability of doing or accomplishing something.

      That’s how Power is currently used in everyday conversations. No surprise there.

      Words often mutate in context and meaning but that hasn’t happened to the word Power just yet.

      Next, lets look at Romance:

      1. a novel or other prose narrative depicting heroic or marvelous deeds, pageantry, romantic exploits, etc.,
