    Don’t be alarmed, he said.

"You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,

    who was crucified.

    He has risen!

    He is not here.

See the place where they laid him."

I dedicate this book to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the one and only, the crucified one, our Redeemer King. Through the Cross, He took my sins and my shame and the sins of everyone on earth upon Himself, so that we could be saved and receive the gift of grace and the incompara- ble inheritance from God the Father, as His adopted children: See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1. He shed His precious blood on the Cross for my sins and the sins of the whole world. This book comes from Him and it is for Him, for His work of redemption, forever completed. I dedicate it to His glory now and forever.

    About the Author

    Preface

The title of this book is perhaps too com- prehensive. Some readers might be expect- ing the dismissal of the Cross of Christ and Crucifixion. But it is on an orderly, full interpretation of the meaning and the power of the Cross the basis why Christ had to go to the Cross and be crucified in order to save sinners.

The people of God need a clearer explanation and more accurate clarification of the work of redemp- tion. What Christ has done in the universe will not be repeated. He did it once and for all. Jesus’ words and prayers in the garden of Gethsemane clearly show that the Father sent Him to the world for the remission of the sins of the human race: My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Mark 14:34.

Christ Jesus poured out the agony of His soul in prayer and submission to the Father’s will. We can never know the intensity of Jesus’ agonizing Spirit or the contents of the cup that He was going to drink, but he said: Abba, Father . . . everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will. Mark 14:36.

One thing of which we can be sure is that, when we go through our own suffering, in our own Geth- semane, Jesus Christ will be there with us, sympathiz- ing and giving His own example of suffering and words of victorious submission: Yet not what I will, but what you will.

This book has been put forward with the prayer that it may help many who need clear words of truth about the Cross and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It has been my desire to connect the work of redemption of Christ’s suffering and agony on the Cross on the day of crucifixion to a clearer image of personal sacrifice on the part of Christ, our Lord.

Together we will be able to see Christ on the Cross on every page of this book. It is a journey in appreciat- ing the redemptive power of the Cross to thank Him more than ever before in our lives.

Jesus Christ was the only one who had the power to forgive sin during His life on earth. He paid for our sins on the Cross with His precious blood and foretold that the Son of man had the power on earth to forgive sins: But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. So he said to the paralyzed man, Get up, take your mat and go home. Matt 9:6.

Before He paid ransom for the sins of the whole world, Christ had the power to forgive sin on earth. He still forgives the sins of humanity today, and will continue until His return to the earth to judge as the book of Revelations tells us. Readers must know at the moment of reading this book that, however great their sin, Christ has the power and authority to forgive them, just as He did during His earthly ministry.

A touch from Him will leave you completely clean from your sins and the nature of sin. Jesus Christ’s atoning work on the Cross has done just that. Christ has had unlimited power, since He conquered sin and since His resurrection from the dead, sitting at the right hand of God, interceding for us, and pleading our case before the Father. Christ’s power to forgive sins still continues at the right hand of God.

He wants all of the people of this earth to repent and pray for forgiveness of their sins, which can only be achieved or obtained through Him. He is ready to forgive you for your sins today with blessed assurance. Christ will breathe on you the breath of life with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding—the peace of God that flows from the full forgiveness of all of your sins.

All people of this earth should believe in and expe- rience the power of the Cross and crucifixion of Christ Jesus to forgive sin. Surrender all to the Savior, call on Him with a repentant heart, and you will receive for- giveness of your sins and a new life in Him.

Jesus entered the temple courts, and, while he was teaching, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him. ‘By what authority are you doing these things?’ they asked. ‘And who gave you this authority?’
