About this ebook
Tatterdemalion is the story of a man in a mad, fantasy world that begins to change against his will. As he is assaulted more and more by the obscure reality of his past, people begin changing places, alternating in different roles, and mythical creatures occupy his home. Even the very notion of telephones bears a cursed meaning. Tatterdemalion takes place in a world where one can gain employment as an astronaut or surgeon by simply visiting the employment office. The fantasy becomes even more surreal and eccentric as it clashes with reality, while only growing increasingly puzzling. Equal parts mystery, adventure, horror, fantasy, and surreal narrative, Tatterdemalion follows a man on an incredible, hilarious, and often poignant journey through modern-day Boston. Is this the story of a man losing his mind in a very rigid and uncaring world, or is it the story of a man slowly finding his sanity in a world gone maniacally and improbably awry? What can a person trust when their past and present clash into a surreal world of fantasy and memory, a world that sets one on a path of urban, mythical quest? The story of Tatterdemalion is one of discovery, loss, fantasy, and reality, and where these meet in and beyond the mind of a man vanished within his times.
Where does the man end and the world begin? Ask the fantasy, and hope it tells the truth.
