Chapter 1: Preface and introduction
Preface
This new edited book has the goal to teach you classical guitar by giving you the elementary foundation how you can play this amazing musical instrument.
My interesting in classical music hat started during my stay in Germany.
When I studied in Germany I always went to classical music concerts at universities. But I have to admit that I had some affection for strings musical instruments before that. I always had the habit, meanwhile I learned the economic stuff, I listened classical music for the better concentration. Since then have not stopped to listen such music, and long years later I decided to taught myself classical guitar then I edited this very compact guitar book.
Needles to say, that this book is oriented to teach classical guitar for beginner and for music teachers who want to teach classical guitar. This book helps you to find out the way how you can learn playing guitar efficiently and enjoyable, without too much effort, and in order to do not get frustrated at the first attempt. In this book I will tell you my experiences how I learned playing this instrument step by step.
In the first paragraphs I tell you how I got involved with the classical guitar, and I also describe the most important part of the guitar and the right manner to hold an acoustic guitar. Then I start softly with the pitch letters or music's alphabets illustrated on a real guitar neck. I recommend taking a look carefully in this matter, before you continue to read the book.
The next important step is I show you how you can learn tune your guitar strings by ears on the fifth fretboard. At the same time you are learning how you can read the tablatures.
When you can tune yourself your guitar then you exercise the motions of your left and the right fingers by playing the chromatic scale. Afterward you can play some short classical pieces seeing these short tablatures. The magic word is here practice
you must exercise so long you can play. For this purpose there are a few scales and all tablatures that you can play. Please spend a few minutes for exercising.
You have to familiarize with terms like arpeggios, chords and bar or barré technique. So, at the end you will be able to play classical pieces but you will be able to play and to sing a few songs as well.
Next I explain you the practical use from ASCII- tablature, on which you can write music notes too, so as tabs. ASCII-tablatures are almost the same as the common tabs; the practical aspect of this Tab method is that you can use the software word Pad for writing tab’s symbols. This method has many musical symbols that we need to learn when we want read tabs, pentagrams or chords
So far with this part of the book
The next part of this book is where you can learn reading notations on treble staff or pentagram. Although this paragraph is not so important for reading and playing tablatures but you need to catch this musical theory when you will like playing guitar or violin professionally later. I will illustrate this complex musical theory in very simple way. So do not worry about this.
In the end of this book you are going to find many tablatures and pentagram, simple and rather difficult and you also are going to find chords and songs with lyrics by: Bob Dylan, The Beatles and John Denver, so you can sing and play guitar at the same time. In addition to that I prepared for you a difficult tablature as a Pink Floyd’s performance so you can use and exercise most of ASCII ’s symbols that I wrote for you.
So, I wish have lot of fun with your learning!
This is for the people which have already bought the old book. If you can probe by receipt that you bought the old book, I will send you a this new one free by mail, but only in E-Pub or Mobi format. You find out my Mail above in the copyright page.
