    INTRODUCTION

    The world of timepieces is quite fascinating and has grown significantly in the past decade. Beginning from a period where the watches themselves are much more complex to build, to the distribution now being more retail based and more readily available than ever before. Buying a watch or timepiece is almost along the same lines as buying a car and can be quite confusing as prices can go up and actually mimic the cost of a car. Similar to the car industry, there is a watch industry, and it’s growing everyday as there is good money to be made buying, selling and trading watches, yet it’s much more complex than car buying on every level.

    The idea of TIC TOC is to become your introduction into the world of timepieces and also act as a reference tool for industry tips that can help you take a competitive advantage quickly over other dealers. Understanding the ins/outs of the industry is great, but understanding what makes a few people major profits and makes others lose big time is even more important.

    This book will walk you through the basic concepts of the watch industry including the best brands to buy and avoid, including how to make the trades work in your favor. We break down industry Dos and Don’ts and even cover most of the scams out there that create issues for rookies and beginners. We will show you specific examples of past trades and buy/sell opportunities we have personally experienced and the different profits/losses associated with each.
