As most authors might claim, I was always been a natural storyteller and voracious book reader. Somehow, I also knew that some day I would sit down and write a book, which I did quite recently. When I finally sat in front of my computer monitor to do just that, the words literally came pouring out. Before very long, I had written many books in various genres. At first, my prolific writing was mainly for the pleasure and self-entertainment involved, until I discocered Smashwords and ebooks, and here I am, a published author with a long list of books to my credit. And many more to come.

    Avenging Demon

    Chapter One

The two female demons, one of whom had just reached term with her male child, were present in the labor room of a highly exclusive private hospital in New York City. They were unseen and unheard by the team of nurses and the doctor who were assisting Mrs. Alina O'Malley, the wife of one of the richest man in the United States; give birth to her second child.

As the birthing process reached its final stage and the baby started descending through the birth canal, the pregnant demon lay down on the floor in an empty corner and began to expel her own baby at the command of the other, who watched attentively as the human's child was being born. Then, once the baby emerged and its umbilical cord was cut by the doctor, everyone in the room literally froze in mid-activity as Euryale removed the newly born demon baby from her sister Stheno's body and cut its umbilical cord.

It was easy to remove the human baby from the doctor's hands and replace it with the just-born tiny demon and, a moment later, everything in the labor room returned to normal as it was handed over to the nurse to be cleaned and put through the official registration procedure that all infants born in the United States undergo in order to be forever identifiable from the moment they're born.

Once in possession of the human baby, Euryale snapped its neck before it had a chance to cry out and left the room with her sister close on her heels until they reached, unseen, the nearest stairwell door, which she opened quickly. She handed the baby's dead body to her sister and said in an utterly sincere voice, which Stheno knew was false since that was her nature as a demon.

Since you did the hard work here you deserve to feed on it first while its flesh is still warm.

Stheno tore one of the baby's arms off and handed it to her sister, smiling malevolently. I will, but I'd like you to feed with me.

    Thank you, sister.

As had been their ritual at such times for eons, they fed with great relish, tearing pieces off the baby's soft body without letting any of it or its blood fall to the floor. Once sated, they teleported themselves to their home in Hell, where the two Gorgon sisters lived together when not traveling on earth's surface and causing mischief while seeking human men to use for their voracious sexual appetites and then devouring them much like the Black Widow does with her mates.

An hour later, both teleported into the office of Amaymon, Prince of Hell, who was ranked in power and influence right below that of Satan. He gave the two voluptuous females an appreciative warm smile when they suddenly popped to stand in front of his desk, pleased with their unusual beauty that was enhanced by a head covered with dozens of hissing and squirming little serpents.

So you're done with your task, my dears? He asked.

Yes, my Prince. Euryale answered. And it was easy to accomplish because of the humans' frailty, both in mind and body.

Don't ever underestimate them, Euryale, because weak as they are these creatures can be much craftier than we are, and therefore always cause us great harm. This is why I had devised this program so that none of us will ever need to worry about them.

By having our own children mature and control the most powerful countries on earth? Stheno asked with a nasty smile on her face.

Exactly. So now that we had started another one of them on its way, we need to produce the mate for the baby we'd just placed with the O'Malley's.

Alright, Euryale, are you ready to perform your duty?

Absolutely. Euryale said and dropped to all four in the center of the office, then watched him as Amaymon rose out of his chair and approached her, admiring his massive goat's lower body with his now fully extended penis and huge balls before he mounted her and inserted himself with brute force. As had always happened to any female he copulated with, Euryale fainted and fell on her belly to the floor once she was filled with his seeds.

Once done, Amaymon grinned at Stheno and after patting her backside left her to care for her sister, who he knew would remain passed out for several hours as a result of their copulation.

Nine months later almost to the day, the scene from the labor room in the private New York City hospital repeated itself except that it took place in Beverly Hills, California, where the human baby that was successfully replaced with the demon's spawn was a girl.

So, how did it feel to give birth again after two years, Euryale? Stheno asked as the sisters feasted on the remains of the human girl with great relish.

The same as I always did--hated it but did my duty as our prince requires it, unlike you who gets herself pregnant all the time. And with puny humans, no less.

That's because being with child makes me feel like a very productive member of our society.

Easy to say, you know, when you never have to care for them once they're born.

Maybe I would've liked it if Amaymon hadn't always hid their location from me.

That's because knowing your voracious appetite for human flesh you would eat them the moment they're born, which isn't the way Amaymon wants it. As far as he's concerned, the half demons purpose in life is to assist our full demon children do his bidding.

Yes, yes, I know that. But still, being conceived by humans they are so utterly succulent that you if not for the boss's order you would've probably joined me in the feast.

Very likely, but then we would be punished severely by Amaymon, who would never again make love to us as a result.

Oh, well, we can't allow that to ever happen to us.

    Chapter Two

Dilbert O'Malley stood up when his daughter, Millicent Haynes, walked out to the shaded balcony of his apartment on the top floor of a Fifth Avenue building in New York City that overlooked Central Park. She smiled and rushed over to hug and kiss him with great affection before both sat down.

Not that I minded it, Dad, but what was so urgent that it made you get me over here on such a short notice? Millicent asked once her father's valet poured them ice water and coffee, then left after closing the French doors behind him.

Sorry to drag you out of the office so unexpectedly, Millie, so I'll get right to it. The reason was that I woke up in the morning three days ago with the knowledge that my life will very soon and that we must prepare all the necessary issues that my demise will bring about.

That's a real crazy notion, Dad. Okay, you're ninety years old but you look much younger and are in perfect physical health despite it. She burst into laughter suddenly. And from what my spies tell me you are still an extremely voracious sexual fiend. So what made you think such a gloomy thoughts, was it something that a doctor you'd suddenly gone to see had said that had brought it on?

No sudden visit to any doctor, Millie, but a certainty, the result of which prompted me to finally tell you the truth about who I truly am so that we can prepare for its aftermath.

Millicent gave her father a confused look. What the heck are you talking about?

The fact that the man you'd known for sixty years isn't truly whom everyone, you included, thinks they know.

Okay, Dad, I'll bite. Who are you really?

Don't patronize me with that knowing silly smile, Millie, because I'm deadly serious about what I'm about to tell you, and it for sure isn't the result of an onset of dementia.

Please forgive me for appearing to doubt you, Dad, but you must admit that your preamble about being a few days away from death shook me up considerably.

Apology accepted, but you must keep an absolutely open mind to what I'm about to relate to you because most of it is quite outside the realm of believability.

Millicent chuckled. Okay, Dad, hit me with it.

Okay, my dear. Let us start with an old request I had made to you just before you registered for college, that you take a course in Middle Eastern lore and Greek mythology. D'you remember that?

Of course I do, and I'd always thanked you for arousing these subjects in my mind despite being destined to join the family business after receiving my MBA. I'd been so fascinated by all these legends, Dad, that I used to travel over there with archeological groups on my summer vacations to learn as much as I could about these eras and the environmental influences that might have created most of the myths. In fact, I still try to read any publication that I can find which deals with these subject matters.

I'm glad that you kept up with it because it'll make my job of telling you my story that much easier for you to accept. So tell me, which part of your studies and later information gathering had interested you most?

Hmmm. I always considered Greek Mythology to be fictional but with many of its stories probably rooted in actual events that had been blown out of proportion, particularly when it comes to heroic or bad people and events. I find the Christian lore to be jumbled nonsense because it's basically a regurgitation of lore and fables of other groups of people. The most credible to my mind, though, are the Mid-Eastern lore and fables about Heaven and Hell even though my conclusion is that they're full of baloney when it comes to there being a Heaven.

I tend to agree with you on that. So you don't discredit the stories about Hell?

Not altogether because from a lifetime of experience I'd concluded by now that there's too much evil surrounding Humankind, which the Hebrew Bible and its interpretations in the Kabala have been pointing out to us for thousands of years. But tell me, Dad, why are you bringing up this strange stuff?

It's strange alright, but what would you say if I told you that your assessment is right on the money?

My first reaction would be that you'd gone nuts, but on second thought I'd want to know which part of the mythology are you saying is factual.

Hell. Well, not exactly as it's described in the religious tomes, but it sure does exist and its denizens have been corrupting Humankind for thousands of years.

    Why are they doing that?

Out of the shear meanness that's inherent in their breed.

How would you know that, Dad?

Because you weren't far from the truth when you called me a fiend. You see, Millie, I know about their lifestyle because I'm one of them.

Millicent gave her father a shocked look. If what you're saying is true, then how can it be that a person such as you are, who I'd never thought had a mean or evil bone in his body, can be a demon?

Dilbert chuckled. Thank you for the vote of confidence, Millie, and you're absolutely right about the kind of person that I am, which is not exactly what I was intended to turn out to be to begin with.

Okay, I'll accept that but I want you to tell me about the circumstances of it all.

Sure, which is why I'd asked you to come see me. The first, most important, factor in my existence is that my parents weren't Alina and Andrew O'Malley but two top demons from hell, Amaymon and his female paramour Stheno.

Are you talking about the Pan-like Prince of Hell, the son of Asmadeus, who is supposed to run all of hell's daily business?

Exactly, and Stheno, the second of the Gorgon sisters, the vicious trio of Euryale and Medusa.

I know of them all but I never knew they were real as you're telling me that they are, oh, except for Medusa, who according to legend was killed by Perseus.

True, and this unholy trio lived not under Mount Olympus as the Greeks believed it, but under the Judean Desert.

Under Gei Ben Hinom, the valley of the son of Hinom, under which the ancient Hebrews believed that Hell was located?

That's right, so as you can see the old Greek and Hebrew fables are kind of interconnected.

So it seems. But how are you connected to this group?

As the leader of Hell, Amaymon's job given him by Asmadeus, is to spread constant evil mayhem among humanity by inserting demons into their midst to foment hatreds, dissention, and butchery all throughout the ages. Then, about a hundred years ago, Asmadeus, which most Christians call Lucifer, or the devil, had ordered his son to intensify his malevolent activities on earth in order to create even more misery for mankind.

So what did Amaymon come up with to bring his new orders to fruition?

It was actually a brilliant idea, which goes to show you how deeply familiar these creeps are with our world's geo-political affairs. His plan was to insert children, mostly daughters, of his with Euryale and Stheno into the homes of the richest and most influential men in the world, but particularly in the United States. He had chosen two of them, a male who will mate with the other, who would be able to manipulate the political scene to the point that one of them would be elected president of the US.

That's a strange and complicated plot, especially since they'd be mating with their sibling.

They don't care about such things, only that these evil and malicious demons from Hell be united in their purpose. His plan was to have his children work the political scene in this country together and lead the strongest country in the world on a military path similar to that of Hitler's.

Oh my God, that would've been horrific. But how was he going to insert you and what's her name into these influential families without anyone being aware of it? And what about the mothers of these two children, I mean mothers don't give up their children that easily even if they're demons.

On the contrary, Millie, demon mothers are in the habit of dropping their children off in a human home to remain unburdened by them from the moment they're born, and then bring some of them back to hell in their early teens.

Jesus, that's similar to what Brood Parasite birds do, like cuckoos, dropping their eggs in other birds' nests and letting them feed and nurture the alien chicks as their own until they reach maturity. Millicent stopped suddenly. And as such, you were supposed to cause the death of your older brother so that you would eventually become the heir to the O'Malley fortune, weren't you?

That's right, except that I didn't, unlike Deidra Johnson, my counterpart in Los Angeles who did exactly that to her older brother so that she became the only heir to Frederick Johnson's huge empire.

So that's who she was. But why didn't you follow your demonic goal, which I'm sure was embedded in your genes?

Because for some reason that I'm totally unaware of, I'd turned into something utterly different from my intended objective, and became the exact opposite to the demonic evil--honest, compassionate, loving, and honorable in my dealings with my family and fellow human beings.

Which must've pissed off your demonic family considerably, I'm sure, because they considered you a traitor to their cause.

They sure did, and were furious with me on the few occasions that I was visited by some of them.

I wonder what had truly happened that made you the way you are. Millicent curled her forehead as she searched her mind for a possible answer to the puzzle, until she suddenly burst into laughter.

    What's so funny, Millie?

It has to do with another fable that the writers of the Hebrew Kabala believe in, which very few of them had accepted--that Amaymon isn't actually the son of Satan but his grandson, born to Milka who was his daughter, and was fathered by the famous old sex fiend himself, King Solomon.

    How can that be possible?

"It was a widespread belief that King Solomon, through his royal signet ring, had complete
