Leader versus Manager: Discover the Differences between the Two Roles

About this ebook
This book contains information about human beings as leaders. We refer to them as 'human leaders' to enhance understanding of the subjects discussed in this book. I make this statement because there are also virtual leaders that exist within our lives. For example, the internet as a whole entity, various websites, mobile phones, electricity, oil, and more. These virtual leaders exert influence on existence as a whole and individual lives.
Please do not confuse the terms 'leader' and 'manager,' which we aim to explain in this book, with the name of the job or position you currently hold. You may be in a position called 'manager,' but you might actually be acting as a leader. Only you can make that judgment.
Furthermore, it is important to note that there is no official position anywhere in the world that can be called 'leader.' Nobody in the world has ever signed a contract stating they were 'hired in a leadership position' or 'acting as a leader.' However, many labor contracts are signed with the title of 'manager.' Essentially, many leaders are labeled as managers.
It is up to you as an individual to evaluate yourself based on the indications and insights from this book, as well as other materials you may have read, to reflect on your behavior during your daily activities. After reading this book, you will gain a clearer understanding of whether you tend to act more as a leader or a manager. Everyone possesses varying degrees of leadership and management abilities. I encourage you to discover your own percentage: from a total of 100%, determine how much of a leader and how much of a manager you are.
This book is perfect for those seeking insights on leadership versus management, the distinction between a leader and a manager, leadership skills, management skills, and more.

Short Book Description
This book intends to draw a parallel between a leader and a manager, highlighting the differences and similarities in their characteristics, behavior, intentions, and beliefs. It provides valuable information about the attitudes of a leader as compared to those of a manager in various business and life situations.
Epigraph
The book is dedicated to the leader that already exists within us and to the potential leader that will evolve from within us. May you gain a clearer vision of your leadership abilities and the extent to which you possess managerial qualities. This is my intention for you, the reader of this book.
Acknowledgements
Over time, the word 'leader' has gained significant influence, with people reading thousands of books on leadership. They strive to study and learn how to become leaders and are intrigued by the reasons behind the popularity and desirability of this leadership attitude. People are interested in understanding the differences and similarities between leaders and managers.
Numerous writers have published books on leadership, often presenting exaggerated caricatures of leaders. Similarly, many books on management have portrayed managers in a similar manner. Prior to writing this book, I encountered various presentations that drew parallels between leaders and managers. However, I discovered a dearth of books dedicated solely to this comparison.
This realization surprised me, as I was deeply engrossed in this topic, seeking answers to my questions. Consequently, I felt compelled to undertake the duty of filling this void and presenting the parallel in the form of a book.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who made valuable contributions in shaping the final version of this book. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the following individuals, whose contributions I hold in high regard:
My editor, deserves special thanks for her meticulous editing approach, which significantly improved this book and enhanced my writing.
Special thanks go to my best friend for over twelve years, who has consistently been a source of inspiration.
Last but not least, I extend my deepest gratitude to you, the current reader of this book. Thank you all so very much.
