About this ebook
Is it possible to develop a faith that will bring happiness and fulfillment if you are not religious? From an Oyster to a Pearl will answer this question for anyone seeking a deeper level of fulfillment and personal happiness. It is a simple book with a dramatically important message that can radically alter your life, providing you with the keys in living happy, peacefully, and free.
From an Oyster to a Pearl is a 21st look at spirituality from the perspective of the younger generation. Today’s generation is cynical and materialistic, but despite the lack of faith today there is a longing by people for connection and spirituality.
From an Oyster to a Pearl provides the new approaches that are needed to reach people. I look at the nature of faith—what it is and isn’t—why some people have it and some don’t. Most importantly I detail how faith can be sought and found.
From an Oyster to a Pearl will help you discover the joy in life we all seek through the use of analogies. One analogy is with electricity. Everyday people rely on electricity to work in their life, and as a result their life is easier. However, most people don’t know how electricity works¬¬¬¬¬, they just know it works.
People have faith that when they flip the switch in a room that electricity will work to meet their wants, and needs, even though they don’t understand how it works. I state that faith works the same way. People don’t have to know how God works in their life for God to work in their life.

Preface
Quality of life brings us joy, peace, wisdom, courage, belief, strength, hope, selflessness, the right attitude, healthy relationships, and allows you to live a full and meaningful life.
In order to have the best quality of life possible, faith is the key. That’s what faith brings us—the best quality of life, regardless of how much money we have, social standing, disabilities, and any limiting beliefs or thoughts we maintain.
Faith does not mean we are not going to have problems in our lives. Faith does not mean difficulties and struggles will not come to pass. Faith does not mean we are going to be rich or famous.
I have found that with faith all of my needs are met, and miracles can happen at any moment. With faith I have found a power inside of me to be the person I desire, and to have the life I desire.
I have discovered that by having faith anything is possible.
I have found that with enough faith all of my problems are solved.
Faith means our past has no power over us, and faith means the ultimate victory is a foregone conclusion.
Chapter 1
Introduction
I’ve always heard that God does not give people more than they can handle. My experience when I was 32 was different than this age old comforting statement.
I remember the day I was at my doctor’s office when I became aware to the severity of how bad things had become in my life. At the time I had been dealing with a medical condition for 7 months and my health was not improving.
My doctor had tried several different treatments to restore my health, but my body and mind were not responding. I explained to him I had been let go from my job the month before, and I was struggling to look for a new job as a result of my poor health.
