Chapter 1

I could feel the blackness of unconsciousness lifting off of my mind but when I tried to open my eyes I couldn’t. What’s wrong with me? Concentrating I tried to remember what caused me to lose consciousness in the first place. I remember Miles had to go away for business, I remember talking to Miles on the phone then I rolled over to find Darcy in my bed. I remember Darcy kissing me then he told me he had something for me. I remember the locket that he placed around my neck then blackness. I tried to move my arms and my legs but I couldn’t control anything, something is seriously wrong. I called out telepathically to Miles but no response. Shit, what the hell did Darcy do to me; it had to have been him what else could have happened? He said he was a Magus which is another word for a Warlock. Maybe he put a spell on me; I need to figure out what the hell happened.

I tried over and over again to move but nothing was working, what am I going to do? Since I had no control over my body and I can’t do anything about it at the moment I calmed myself down by just thinking about how much my life has changed in the last year. If you would have asked me back at the beginning of November what I would be doing now I would have told you that I would probably be doing the same thing that I was doing then, absolutely nothing. I would go to work at the Blood Bank were I worked as a Phlebotomist then I would either go home where I would sit all night on the couch with my cat Gertie watching TV or I would go work at one of the blood donor clinics around the city for extra cash. So one day I came into work in one of my blah moods which was because I was severely depressed but I didn’t tell anyone so my best friend Ally dragged me out for a night on the town club hopping. It was the best night of my life because at our last stop I met Miles Reed. Miles and I have been together ever since that night and in December after only dating for a little over three weeks we got married in Las Vegas with Miles’s sister Sophia, Ally my closest friend, Sophia’s boyfriend Logan and my best friend from high school Todd witnessing for us.

Then in February Miles and I found out we were pregnant which was even more amazing because I was so sure that I was never going to have a baby because of what Miles and I are. What we are, are vampires. Miles and his sister Sophia were turned into vampires back in 1909 after being attacked. Miles didn’t want me to become a vampire but I was given blood by accident which started my transformation right after we first met. There are some perks to being a vampire like the fact that I’ll never age, I’ll be 29 for the rest of my existence so I’ll never look old; I’ll never have to stand in front of the fridge again wondering what to eat because I don’t eat anymore, I just drink blood to survive; I’m very strong; I have impeccable hearing and my eye sight is unbelievable and I’m super quick which is really cool. There are also some downsides to being a vampire too, like when you’re a newborn vampire you’re ruled by your emotions, for example if you’re horny you don’t think about who you may hurt, you just act on it or if you become angry it overwhelms you and you could end up hurting someone you care about before you realized what you were doing. Another downfall of being a newborn is your sexual appetite changes, like when I was human I had only a few partners but once I was turned I had sex as much as I could with whomever I could especially Miles, our relationship was very sexual when we first started dating plus when I was human I was only attracted to men but that also changed once I was turned, I slept with Ally and Sophia which were big mistakes. Another downfall is the thirst or hunger can be really overwhelming and now since I’m pregnant my consumption has increased significantly, also I can’t go outside in the daytime, no more sun tanning no more sun. Don’t get me wrong I love the fact that I’m a vampire because I get to spend forever with Miles...

Before I could finish that thought my eyes shot open, wow that’s weird. I tried to move them to look around but I couldn’t, what or whoever has control of my body was doing everything for me. After a moment of lying there on my back not moving, my head rolled over to the left and my eyes finally moved to the figure beside me which was Darcy who was smiling away at me. Darcy is a very handsome man. He’s way over six feet tall with short brownish red hair and piercing emerald green eyes. His body is on the bigger but muscular side which I can see because he is shirtless lying under the covers of my bed and his scent is almost sour with a mixture of apples. Even though he was smiling he looked a little wary when he said with his Irish accent Rose, is that you?

What? What the hell is he talking about, Rose is dead. Rose is Darcy’s wife who died a hundred years ago, he told me that I was the reincarnation of his wife. Out of my mouth came a voice that wasn’t my own, this voice was similar in pitch but it had a very thick British accent, my eyes moved looking over every inch of his face then these words came from my mouth Darcy, what is going on? Where am I?

His smile grew as he slid over on the bed closer to me, placing his large left hand on my face he said Rose my love, what do you remember?

I could hear her thinking in my head, wow that’s weird, she was thinking about where she last was I remember preparing dinner for you while you were out tending to the animals in the barn then I heard a loud bang on the front door. I thought it was you playing a trick on me so I went but when I opened the door I noticed it wasn’t you it was Malcolm. She started choking up as she continued Malcolm was furious Darcy; he was so angry that I left his service. He hit me across the face which sent me flying across the parlour, I think I hit my head and when I opened my eyes I opened them just in time to see him plunging his knife into my belly. He did that a few more times before he took off, the blackness kept trying to swallow me up but I knew, she placed my right hand on top of Darcy’s hand that was on my face then she sobbed I knew I was dying so I needed to see your face one more time before I would close my eyes for good. I heard you come in the house and scream my name. I remember seeing your eyes look down at me with tears spilling from them then I closed my eyes. Darcy I was wounded severely how could I still be alive?

I could see that Darcy looked sad as Rose explained this to him. What did he do to me? How was he able to bring her back into my body? There must have been tears running down my face because Darcy wiped them away with his other hand then he said Rose my dear you didn’t survive. You died. That was in 1898 and it’s now 2010. After you died I hoped and prayed that you would be reincarnated again so I searched for over one hundred years and finally I found you. Your name is Lilly now; another flower how sweet isn’t it, first Poppy then Rose and now Lilly.

She dropped my hand from Darcy’s and whispered I... I died, but how am I here now?

His smile grew as he said I’ve searched the world for a way to bring you back my love and I came across a Shaman who was able to help me. We worked our Magik on the locket that you are wearing and once I placed it on Lilly’s neck and it touched her chest it brought your soul back.

I could feel Rose smile as she said You brought me back; I always knew you would find a way for us to be together forever. I love you Darcy. Darcy leaned in closer and kissed me, well Rose except I could feel his lips on mine but I couldn’t control them. I felt Darcy slide his hands up my sides pulling my tank top off. I felt Rose’s hand slide down to my stomach then she pulled away from Darcy and gasped This Lilly is with child.

Darcy didn’t answer her but he slipped Miles’s boxers off of me then he gently rolled me onto my right side. Entering me from behind I could feel everything that she was feeling which was disturbing. She feels for Darcy how I feel about my Miles. I love Miles more than anything in this world other than my unborn child. I tried to block out what was happening but it wasn’t working so I just repeated over and over again ‘Miles I love you.’ In the middle of Darcy and Rose having sex I heard Miles I love you, come out of my mouth in my voice.

Darcy stopped thrusting and said in an irritated tone Shit, I was hoping that wasn’t going to happen.

Rose said in her voice What’s wrong Darcy, and why did I say Miles? Who is Miles?

Sounding extremely irritated he said Miles is Lilly’s husband. The Shaman that helped me told me that there was a chance when I performed this spell that you would come back but Lilly wouldn’t go away, that she’d be trapped in your head and I guess that’s what happened. Darcy pulled out of me and rolled my body back onto my back then he looked me in the eyes Lilly I know you’re still in there and I want you to know that if you ever try to make contact again I will kill Miles and your unborn child.

I started crying in my head, what am I going to do? I’m not going to sit back and let her and him take over my body and life. No way. While I cried in my head Darcy and Rose went back to having sex. When they were finally done Rose said Darcy, I want to go take a look in a mirror and see what I look like.

Darcy jumped out of the bed and helped Rose off the bed; Rose waddled naked around the room looking for a mirror finally coming upon the mirror in the closet. I’m nothing extraordinary. I’m around 5’3 with some nice little curves to my body but you wouldn’t know that right now because I’m 33 weeks pregnant so I have a nice round belly. I’ve have curly light blonde hair that goes down to the middle of my back and grey eyes. I wasn’t surprised with what she said next because I could see her lack of enthusiasm as she looked my body up and down, She’s pretty but not as beautiful as I used to be. I don’t like the pale hair but I can learn to live with it. Darcy this girl is abnormally pale. What is wrong with her is she ill?

Darcy came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her as he explained No she’s not sick, she’s pale because she’s not human.

Rose quickly turned around to face Darcy What do you mean she’s not human? What is she?

She’s a vampire. Her husband turned her when they first started dating.

I could feel that she was angry and it was confirmed when she said loudly What do you mean she’s a vampire, what does that mean for me now?

He thought about it for a moment before he said Well you can’t go outside during the day because you’ll burn up, you don’t eat food anymore you drink blood and the best part is you’re immortal like me. So when I say we’re going to be together forever we actually can now be together forever.

They curled up together back on the bed then she fell asleep and the shitty thing was I was still awake. I continued crying until she woke up. She looked over at Darcy who was still out cold so she slipped out of his arms and out of bed before walking over to the closet where she started going through my clothes. She was thinking that I dressed very provocatively which she wasn’t too sure about but she ended up deciding on a long sleeve black t-shirt with a pair of my boyfriend blue jeans. She thought the fabrics felt strange but soft which surprised her. She also ended up braiding my hair in one long braid which is not even close to how I normally wear my hair. Rose stood in front of the mirror staring at my body so I said ‘Rose, why are you doing this to me?’ hoping she could hear me.

Still staring in the mirror she smiled I’m doing this because I never got to live my life.

That really makes me angry, what gives her the right to take my life away from me, trying to keep my tone even I said ‘So since you didn’t get to live your life because someone murdered you, you’re going to take mine away from me? I’m sorry that that happened to you but that’s so wrong.’

Chuckling she said That is correct.

As Rose said that Darcy came walking into the closet dressed, from behind us he said Rose who are you talking to?

She glanced back at him and said with a smirk I’m talking to Lilly. He looked really angry so she walked over and cupped his cheek with her hand before continuing Darcy don’t worry, I won’t let her gain control. Not now, not ever, I can’t lose you again.

He opened his mouth to say something but he was interrupted by a knock at the bedroom door, he whispered I have to go and remember Lilly isn’t British so watch the accent, he gave her a quick kiss then he snapped his fingers and disappeared.

I heard my bedroom door open and I knew it was Logan by the sound of his voice as he yelled out Lilly are you in here? hopefully Logan will notice something is off.

Rose walked out of the closet and I could feel that she is nervous, holding back her accent as much as she could she walked around the corner and said Yes I’m here.

Standing in front of us Logan looked worn out. Logan is over six feet tall and built like a football player but he’s not a football player he’s a lawyer, he’s our lawyer. Logan has very dark brown hair almost black cut real short to his head. I could see bags under his very light brown eyes which made his very handsome face look older than his36 years. Rose even thought he was a good looking. He looked her over and said So Lil Miles left me a note telling me to see if you need me to do anything for The Club so is there anything you need me to do today? Rose shook her head so Logan looked a little confused as he continued Okay then, also did you need to feed, you’re starting to look a little grey. Rose shrugged but she still didn’t say anything so Logan took a step forward and said Lilly what’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?

Rose took a step back away from him I’m fine; I just need to be alone.

He looked at me oddly then he said Okay, sure, then he walked out of the bedroom closing the door behind him without saying anything else.

Rose stormed back into the closet stopping in front of the mirror she stared directly into my eyes as she said Now listen Lilly you need to help me out here, who was that man?

I chuckled ‘I’m not going to tell you anything. I’m not going to help you take over my life, I want you to fuck up so bad that someone notices that something’s wrong and then they will save me.’

She slammed both of my forearms into the door surrounding the mirror I can’t believe you would risk your husband’s life to do that. Darcy told you he will kill Miles so you should start cooperating with me.

I said ‘Miles is the strongest vampire I know of. I know he can take care of himself so I’m not worried,’ which was true except for the part that I’m not worried, I know Miles can take care of himself but I don’t want anything to happen to him.

She placed my hands on my belly and said What about your baby? Are you willing to risk the baby’s life?

‘I know that you would never kill an unborn child.’

"You are correct I personally would never take a child’s life but I’m not sure how far Darcy is willing to go to keep me here and if that means killing your child he will do it."

I pleaded ‘Rose please let me have my life back.’

She shook my head No I don’t think so. There was another knock on the door so Rose went back into the bedroom where she opened the door and said in an annoyed tone Yes.

Sophia came walking in the room with the same air of confidence that her brother has, it must come from years of being a vampire. See when Miles walks into the room people notice him, it could be from his confidence or because he’s so tall but I don’t know why that works with Sophia too, she’s shorter than me at 5 foot even. Her hair colour is exactly the same sandy blonde shade as Miles and she also has the same dark brown eyes as Miles too. Her hair only goes to her shoulders and she has blunt bangs almost to her eyes. Sophia stopped walking once she saw me then she looked me over with a strange look on her face before saying Lilly what’s going on? Logan said he came in here to talk to you but you seemed different.

Rose asked Different, how?

Sophia shrugged her shoulders He wasn’t sure but he said something was off. He said he offered for you to feed from him but instead of saying okay you asked him to leave which is really weird. You and Logan have become very close over the last couple months, he just didn’t understand why you would send him away and you’ve never turned away a feeding, especially from him.

Rose sat down on the edge of the bed I just wanted some time alone.

‘Yeah right,’ I added.

Sophia’s eyebrows were really furrowed together, she shook her head and said That just doesn’t sound like you Lil, something’s going on and you really need to feed because you look awful.

Rose shook my head I’m fine.

Sophia took a step towards me and said with some attitude Lilly tell me what’s going on or do I have to call my brother?

Sighing with annoyance Rose said There is no need to call your brother, I’m fine.

I said to Rose ‘She’s smart she’s so going to figure out that you’re not me.’

Sophia was still staring at us when she said Well since you’re not going to tell me what’s going on are you at least going to come out to the kitchen to join us?

Rose smiled and said Yes, lead the way please.

Chapter 2

Sophia gave us a weird look then she turned around heading out the bedroom door. Rose started following Sophia and about halfway down the hallway to the kitchen Ally came walking out of the movie room. Ally’s been my best friend since I moved to Toronto a couple years ago. We met at the Blood Bank that we both worked at and we became friends immediately. She’s the complete opposite of me in appearance and personality, she’s really outgoing and a free spirit and I’m a shy and a bit of a loner. She has straight dark brown hair with these gorgeous piercing blue eyes and she’s all legs. She’s probably 5’10 then she usually adds heels on top of that so she’s always towering over me but she doesn’t have any curves, at least I got the curves but I’m short. Ally flashed me one of her megawatt smiles and said Morning Lil, then she turned to Sophia and said with a bigger smile Hi baby, as she wrapped her arms around Sophia planting a huge kiss on her lips. When I first met Sophia she was dating Logan but she also slept with girls on the side. She ended up meeting Ally and they clicked, for a while Sophia was seeing both of them but just a couple months ago Sophia finally made the decision to just have a relationship with Ally.

Rose gasped when she saw them kissing so Sophia broke away from Ally’s lips and said Lilly, what’s wrong?

Rose shook my head and placed my hand on my stomach as she lied The baby kicked and it hurt.

Sophia gave me a sceptical look as she nodded then she grabbed Ally’s hand as they started walking down the hallway; I knew Sophia thought something was up so I screamed her name over and over again. Through my lips in my voice Rose said loudly Soph.

Sophia and Ally both turned around and they both looked worried so Sophia said Yes?

Rose was very angry with me, which actually made me laugh but she ignored me and said Thank you.

Sophia looked even more confused as she said Yeah okay, you don’t have to yell it at me.

I apologize.

Sophia rolled her eyes at me before she continued down the hallway with Ally followed by Rose who was walking slowly so she can have a good look around the house. Sophia and Ally turned off to the left which led into the kitchen, they walked in first then Rose behind them. When they walked in I saw Logan was sitting at the table at the far side of the room reading the paper and Todd and Chloe were sitting at the island on stools, Todd drinking his blood and Chloe eating a late breakfast. Todd is my best friend from high school and Chloe is his new girlfriend. Todd is on the short side for a guy standing probably around 5’8 with milk chocolate coloured hair and medium blue eyes. He’s got what I would call a swimmer’s body, lean and fit and he’s very handsome. Chloe is cute; she’s short somewhere in between my height and Sophia’s height with auburn coloured hair and honey brown eyes.

Rose stopped in the doorway and stood there looking around at everybody, I heard Todd say Lil are you going to join us or you going to stand there all day? Rose pulled my mouth into a smile, as she walked in she was thinking that things have change significantly since she was last in a kitchen. The kitchen is large painted white with black granite counter tops with a nook at the back and a large island in the center with tons of storage space. She wanted to go look over everything but she knew that would draw attention so she moved over to the island and had a seat on one of the stools beside Todd. She was thinking that she knew the large guy sitting at the table was Logan and the girl with the bangs was Sophia but who is everybody else?

‘You’re going to screw up at some point, there is one person here who has known me for 14 years and I have faith that they will notice something is off.’

Rose sighed in irritation to my comment which caught the attention of everybody so Sophia said with a bit of attitude in her voice Are we keeping you from something your highness? Rose was busy looking down at my hands admiring my engagement ring and wedding band so since she wasn’t paying attention Sophia said even louder Earth to Lilly? Rose still wasn’t paying attention so Sophia slammed her hand down on the counter in front of me and said Lilly what the fuck is wrong with you?

Rose looked up at her and said Excuse me?

Looking very pissed off Sophia threw her hands up in the air I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with you but you’re really starting to get on my fucking nerves.

I could feel Rose scrunch up my face as she said I don’t think it is necessary for you to speak to me that way, where are your manners?

Standing up quickly Sophia’s chair fell to the floor as she slammed her hands down on the counter Are you fucking kidding me?

I hinted ‘Rose I think you should drop it.’

Rose wouldn’t stop even though I was telling her to drop it; I could actually hear her accent slipping out a little as she said You are a very rude young lady. I can’t believe you would talk like that, it’s disgusting.

Ally grabbed Sophia’s arm because Sophia started walking over towards me, which wouldn’t stop her anyway but Ally said Baby come on, just drop it.

With her free hand Sophia pointed at me and said Get her the fuck away from me right now because if she says one more thing I’m going to rip her fucking head off and I don’t think Miles would be too happy about that.

I saw Todd zip up and grab my arm which Rose didn’t like too much, she tried to rip my arm away from him but it wasn’t working because he was holding on too tight, she yelled Get your bloody hands off of me. He clamped his hands down even harder then he picked me up and dragged me out of the kitchen while Rose screamed in her full accented voice Get your hands off of me, all the way down the hallway.

He burst through my bedroom door tossing me down on the bed gently; after he slammed the door closed he said Lil what’s going on? She just sat there staring at him so he walked over and knelt before us and asked Lil what’s going on, something is off about you and what’s with the accent?

Rose was thinking that she wished Darcy was here to take care of him so since I didn’t want anything to happen to Todd I said ‘Just repeat after me and watch the accent.’ ‘Really everything is fine, I just miss Miles and I didn’t get much sleep last night.’’

I could feel she was happy that I was helping her out so she did what I asked holding back her accent Really everything is fine, I just miss Miles and I didn’t get much sleep last night.

His eyebrows furrowed together so I continued ‘And the accent thing is because I was watching way too much Harry Potter again and you know how I get when I watch those movies.’

That broke some of the tension because Todd smiled Yeah I know how you get when you watch those movies, you end up talking with a British accent for a few days. But I don’t know Lil something seems off about you and I just don’t know what it is. Rose just shrugged my shoulders so Todd said I think you should stay away from Sophia for the rest of today so how about I go get you something to drink and we can hang out at my place because Chloe has to work today. How does that sound?

‘If you say no he will know something is up.’

Rose smiled That sounds lovely thank you.

Todd gave his head a shake as he gave me a weird look Okay come with me. He held out his hand but Rose walked past him to the door and opened it, he let out a little sigh and walked out the door and Rose followed him. Luckily enough Sophia wasn’t around so there weren’t any problems with the trip to the apartment. Todd dropped Rose off in his apartment over the garage which has the same colour scheme as the rest of the house, medium grey walls with dark brown wood floors then he took off probably to get us some blood or juice. Once Todd was gone Rose walked around his place looking at everything, she was looking over the pictures he has on his shelf which are of me and him at my wedding to Miles, a group photo of us and a picture of him with Chloe cuddling on the couch together. Rose moved on from the pictures and was checking out the flat screen TV in Todd’s small living room area trying to figure out what it is so when Todd came back in he said You want to watch a movie or TV?

Turning in shock she said You choose.

He motioned for us to have a seat on the couch, he walked over to his shelf and the whole time he was moving around Rose wouldn’t take her eyes off of him. He grabbed a movie off of the shelf and put in the DVD player then he went into his little kitchenette and a couple moments later he came walking out with a glass of blood. Todd reached forward with the glass to hand it to Rose but she waved my hand to say no thanks so I said ‘Rose you need to drink that to survive, so please drink it for my baby.’

Rose sighed then she reached her hand towards the glass so Todd handed it to her, she took a sip of it and said in amazement Wow this is so delicious.

He sat down beside me and said You’re acting like you’ve never had blood before.

Rose shrugged my shoulders taking another sip of blood then she looked up at the TV and said Amazing.

She couldn’t believe her eyes, pictures moving so quickly that it looked like people were moving on the large screen but when Todd said What’s amazing? that snapped her out staring at the TV.

She pointed at the TV I have never seen that before.

Todd looked confused What? Do you mean you’ve never seen this movie before? She nodded as she glanced at him and that’s when I saw that light bulb go off in his head. See the movie he put in was Legion and him and I went and saw that at the theatre back in January. I knew I could rely on him to see something was wrong. Todd stood up Would you like another glass of blood? She nodded again so he went into the kitchen, Rose was too busy watching the amazing pictures moving across the screen but I could see out of my peripheral vision that Todd was pacing in the kitchen trying to figure out what to do. After a couple of minutes he came walking back in and handed me the glass again. He looked down at the locket on my neck and pointed at it as he said That’s new, where’d you get that?

I didn’t think Rose was paying attention but boy was I wrong, without taking her eyes off the TV she said I got it from my husband.

The funny thing is she wasn’t lying she got it from Darcy who is her husband; Todd nodded Okay. I knew he was still suspicious so he asked Lil where did Miles say he was going again, was it Ottawa?

Rose turned to look at him, I could hear her think that this guy knows something is up which made her very suspicious, she asked Why?

Todd shrugged I don’t know just making conversation. She was getting more suspicious so I really hoped Todd would change the topic of conversation and I was glad when he said So you wouldn’t believe who I saw the other day.

Her eyebrows furrowed together as she said Who did you see?

Smiling he said My old locker partner from the tenth grade, do you remember who that was? he gave a nervous chuckled before continuing I was even polite to him even though he was an ass because if I didn’t share a locker with him you wouldn’t have started talking to me which was one of the best things to ever happen to me.

That made me choke up but I needed to concentrate on Rose, I could feel she was really getting even more suspicious so she knew she had to get out of there, she stood up and said I’m not feeling too well. I’m going to head to my room, thank you for the drink.

From behind me Todd asked Lilly what was my old locker partner’s name?

Rose was past suspicious now, now she was angry, she looked back at him with narrowed eyes and snapped Why does it matter, that was quite a few years ago wasn’t it?

He nodded Yeah I know it was a long time ago, don’t worry about it go lay down. She narrowed my eyes even more then she walked out of the door.

Todd

Once Lilly left to go back to her room I didn’t know what to do, I don’t think that’s Lilly. Her voice doesn’t sound like her normal voice plus what’s with this British accent? I know she talks like that after she watches Harry Potter movies but usually it doesn’t last very long because she would start giggling but this time she isn’t doing that, hell she’s not even smiling. Something is up with her and I don’t think it’s the pregnancy. First of all when I was getting some blood for us I saw her watching the TV like she’s never seen one before then once I put on the movie she acted like she never saw that either. The thing is Lilly and I went and watched that at the theatre in January, I just don’t get it. Plus when she tasted the blood she looked so amazed at how good it was. I think I need to talk to Sophia.

I searched out for Lilly who was now back in her room, I quickly jumped from her to Sophia who is in her room with Ally; I zipped to their room and knocked lightly on the door, I heard a moan then Sophia said with an irritated tone Todd we’re a little busy.

I leaned against the door and said quietly I know and I’m sorry but Soph we need to talk.

She groaned loudly then a second later the door opened, she ushered me in and said This better be good.

I looked around the messy room and saw Ally lying on the bed with the sheet wrapped around her and Sophia was standing there with a small little black silk robe on, they both looked really hot at that moment and I knew I shouldn’t be thinking about that because I have a girlfriend. I sat down in one of those Papasan chairs that has a leopard print cushion and once I was seated I said We have a problem.

Sophia sat back down beside Ally, Ally grabbed her hand as Sophia said Yeah I know, you interrupted a good session of me eating out my girlfriend.

I chuckled Okay other than that, there’s something going on with Lilly.

Sophia nodded I know but it’s just the pregnancy right? I shook my head and told her about everything that I know; when I was done she said Okay I agree something is up.

I asked But what do we do?

Sophia gave me a smile I will talk to her tonight and I’m going to go back to eating out my girlfriend, do you want to watch?

Smiling I said How could I refuse an offer like that. And that’s what I did for the next hour or so and wow what a show it was.

Lilly

She wasn’t sure which way to go and I wasn’t going to tell her so she wandered around the hallways until she made it back to the kitchen. She looked in and saw Logan was still sitting at the table and he looked up at her with a worn out expression which tugged on my heart strings but not hers then she walked away. Rose ended up remembering which door was my bedroom so she walked in the door and closed it behind her. She stomped over to the closet where she positioned herself in front the mirror. Back to her normal accent she glared Lilly, who was the man asking the questions?

As I said ‘I’m not answering your questions,’ I noticed that my eyes weren’t totally grey anymore that they had a greenish grey colour to them. She shook her head in irritation drawing attention to my hair; I saw that my hair colour looked darker too. To anybody else it probably looks like I haven’t washed my hair for a little bit but I know it’s not that. Oh my god, my eyes are changing colour and so is my hair, oh shit, I’m turning into Rose.

Rose said a little louder than normal Darcy, Darcy, she waited a moment then she sighed and continued Darcy I need you.

After another couple of moments I heard a pop then Darcy was standing in front of us, he smiled You look better, did you have some blood?

She nodded The people that live here with her are very suspicious of me, I am trying my best to watch the accent but since I don’t know who they are and how she knows them I am going to mess up at some point and I think I already have, twice.

Darcy looked concerned What happened?

The person that knocked on the door when you were here came in to talk to Lilly and he asked if I wanted to feed off of him so I asked him to leave. He must have told this Sophia that he thought something was off about me because she came in and asked me what was going on. She asked me to come into the kitchen with her so I went and then she almost attacked me so the other male took me to this small place here in the house where he gave me blood. I don’t know what happened but he started getting suspicious so he started asking me questions which I couldn’t answer then I excused myself. We need to take care of him Darcy.

I screamed out ‘No, no please don’t hurt him.’

Darcy started pacing back and forth then suddenly he stopped, he turned to me Okay I have a plan. I think this guy knows you’re not Lilly so we to dispose of him or at least keep him from telling everybody else. What we need to do is once its dark you need to get dressed up to go to this club that Lilly’s husband works at. Then once you are there I want you to get him to follow you to Lilly’s office where I’ll be waiting for you. Once he’s in there I will knock him out with a spell then I will Flick him away.

I screamed out again ‘No, please don’t kill him. Do what you have to do to me but please don’t kill him.’

Rose sighed Lilly is pleading with me for us not to kill this man.

Darcy chuckled Fine I can’t kill him anyways because I’m not sure how to kill a vampire but I wonder if they can die from starvation. I’ll make sure he doesn’t get any blood for a long time.

I pleaded even more ‘Rose please don’t let Darcy do anything to him, please.’

She looked back in the mirror, staring deep into my eyes she said I will make you a deal Lilly; I will make sure nothing happens to whoever that was if you help me out by giving me the information I need to keep everybody from being suspicious.

I thought about that for a second, if I give her the correct information then nobody will know that she’s not me but maybe if I say I’m going to give her the right information but I still make mistakes enough for Miles and Todd to notice then they will figure it out; after coming to that conclusion I said ‘Okay I will help you out but you need to promise me something.’

She sighed Sure what do you need?

‘I will help you as long as you drink as much blood as I tell you to and when it comes time for you to give birth to my baby you do that then you leave here leaving my baby here with his or her father. Please.’

She nodded I will do that so who was that man I was talking to?

‘That was Todd, we went to school together.’

Okay, now him I understand but why were those two girls kissing?

‘They were kissing because they’re in a relationship together. Sophia the one with the bangs is Miles’s sister and she’s been dating Ally who is my best friend for a couple months now. Sophia used to date Logan who was the big guy that came in here this morning. He’s Miles’s lawyer so he helps me out with the club stuff when Miles is away. Logan is also is the person I feed off of.’

She nodded her head as I told her that then she said I understand, I think two girls together in a relationship is wrong but as long as a woman doesn’t try that with me I will stay quiet. Thank you for giving me that information and I will make sure your friend Todd doesn’t die.

‘Thank you Rose.’

Darcy tapped us on the shoulder so Rose turned around; she flashed him a smile but Darcy didn’t look too impressed when he said Did you two have a nice conversation?

Rose placed my hand on Darcy’s face My love there is no need to worry, Lilly and I have come to a decision to work together, all she asks is that we don’t kill this Todd and that I drink blood when she says and that when the baby is born I leave it here with its father then you and I can take off together.

He looked into my eyes and stood there silently for a minute or so before saying Okay Lilly that sounds like a good deal so just make sure you don’t tip anybody off and if I find out that you were tipping people off to our situation I’m not going to just kill Todd but I’m going to kill your husband too, maybe I’ll kill the humans too.

Trying to remain calm I said to Rose ‘Rose please tell Darcy that I won’t tip anybody off so there is no reason to make threats against my love ones.’

Reaching forward Rose pulled Darcy into a hug Lilly said she will behave. Darcy I’m so happy that you we able to bring me back, I love you so much.

He squeezed his arms around her I love you too Rose. After they held each other for a couple of minutes he finally said Rose it’s almost dark so you should get dressed for work, every time I saw Lilly at The Club she was dressed up so maybe she can help you figure out what to wear. I’m going to go but I will be at The Club to keep an eye on you, be safe. Snapping his fingers he was gone.

I helped Rose pick out a peach halter BCBG dress and white Sue London flats then I told her to go ask Logan for a ride. She asked He’s the big guy right?

‘Yes, just be nice and ask him if he could drive because you find it’s getting harder to drive because of your stomach.’

She nodded as she took in all of the information I was giving her then she said Here I go, wish me luck. Rose took off out of the bedroom down to the kitchen where everybody was sitting.

Chapter 3

Rose stood in the doorway and everybody looked up at us, I could feel Rose was nervous because of the confrontation she had with Sophia earlier as she said Hi everybody. Sophia didn’t look too impressed but she did give us a little smile so Rose walked over and sat at the table with Logan, Logan looked up with his tired eyes as we sat down, Rose gave him a smile and said Logan I want to apologize for earlier, I haven’t been feeling like myself lately and I shouldn’t have took it out on you by asking you to leave. I hope you accept my apology.

He gave us a smile It’s okay Lil, I was just really worried about you, you just didn’t seem like yourself.

Rose made my mouth smile at him as she said I was wondering if you would be able to drive me tonight because I have found that driving has become difficult because of my stomach.

He gave a nod then he said with a smile Sure no problem just let me go get dressed then we can go.

Thank you, I will wait here.

Ten minutes later Logan came back into the kitchen and asked us if I was ready to go so Rose followed him out to the garage where he climbed into the black Cadillac SUV. She stopped abruptly staring at the Cadillac trying to figure out what it is so I said ‘Don’t worry it’s a car and it’s safe. There’s a handle on the door so open it and sit in it, there’s no need to be nervous. Logan is a very safe driver.’ Logan was already in the SUV so Rose did what I said and climbed into the Cadillac; once I told her how to put the seat belt on they were on their way. As we pulled out of the garage Rose was finally able to see the outside of our dark brown single level home. Rose faced the passenger side window and watched everything that went by as we drove through Toronto to The Club. She was completely amazed at how things have changed since she was last alive. The buildings are huge, there are tons of cars on the roads and she absolutely loved all the lights of the city.

When they got to The Club the newest valet James opened the door for her and said Evening Mrs. Reed.

She gave him a nod Evening.

Logan came around the car and held out his hand for us but Rose was hesitant so I said ‘Rose place your hand in his and he will lead you through the club. There will be lots of people in there so by placing my hand in his he will protect you.’ She wasn’t too happy about it but she did what I asked so she placed her hand in his, he smiled then he headed into the club. Every time we passed an employee they said good evening to us but instead of saying anything Rose just smiled. Rose couldn’t believe what The Club was like but I don’t know what she was expecting. The bar is to the right of the club, the dance floor is straight ahead full of patrons dancing away and the stairs to head to the VIP area and offices are to our left. The whole theme of the club is done in black, white and red. She was thinking that she didn’t like the loud pounding of what she thought was the music. With Logan leading us we headed upstairs then over to our normal VIP section where Logan pulled back the black curtain as he ushered me in. Rose felt a little nervous being alone with him so I said ‘There’s no need to be nervous, this area is our area, nobody else sits here and we like it that way, it’s more private. Plus Logan would never hurt you.’

Rose sat down on the black leather horseshoe couch as Logan sat down right beside us, she thought he was sitting a little close but before she could say anything he turned to face us and said Lil I’m worried about you, you haven’t fed from me the last couple of days so I was thinking that maybe you should feed from me before everybody else gets here.

Rose was completely against it and she was gearing up to say that but I said ‘The blood you drank earlier in the cup isn’t as good as fresh blood so if you drink from Logan you won’t have to feed often, so I think it would be a good idea for you to feed from him.’

She let out a deep breath then she said to Logan I agree.

I think Logan really needed this more than we did so before either of us knew it he grabbed me around my waist and pulled me on top of him so I was straddling him; Rose started panicking so I said ‘Rose just relax, sitting on his lap like this makes it easier. He’s going to move his head off to the side so lean into his neck and your fangs will come out then place your fangs on his neck and just slide them in. You won’t have to push at all; it will be like slicing a hot knife through butter you won’t have any resistance.’

She didn’t like Logan’s hands on her but when he moved his head to the side she moved her face close to his neck. Rose became freaked out when my fangs came out but then she felt the hunger that I feel when I’m that close to getting fresh blood and that calmed her down. She took a sniff through my nose and said You smell delicious, then she sank my fangs into his neck. She couldn’t believe how good it tasted, so much better than the stuff from earlier. Rose was too busy drinking from Logan that she didn’t notice his hands started going up and down my back and his bulge started pressing against me. I don’t know about Rose but I was getting horny, if I had control over my body I would be all over Logan right now but since I don’t, I have to sit here in my head and suffer.
