About this ebook
Ann Carter is very attractive, and a very competitive golfer. She is unhappily married. She wants to win the club championship. She tries to elicit the help of an older, misogynistic, Zen oriented caddy. His name is Jack "Three Iron" Shaw, a former golf pro. Ann tries every trick in the book: bribery, seduction and begging. They have confrontation after confrontation, until she agrees to do it his way. They have problems, but she does win the club championship.
Mutual respect develops, they fall in love, and eventually are outed. She is forbidden to see him. Jack is eventually fired from the course. He enters the qualifying round of the US Open at his home course prodded by his fellow caddies. On the last hole all he needs is a par. Lying two in a high lipped sand-trap he hits the ball five feet from the pin. However he breaks his club. at the base. He pool ques it in and is disqualified.
His notoriety playing par golf with just a three iron lands him a job as head pro in Brisbane Australia. When he leaves Ann finds out the truth about Jack "Three Iron" Shaw and it isn't pretty.

INTRODUCTION
Golf is very important to Ann Carter. She is very competitive.
Ann will go to extremes to improve her golf game. Her husband
is somewhat oblivious to her compulsion as he has his own belief system
to deal with.
Golf pros, friends and caddies are solicited to Ann’s plight. Her decision to pursue an older man for help has put her in a quandary. He is his own person, money, convenience, accolades do not sway him one bit.
If Ann had known the background and experience the older caddy possessed
she might have had second thoughts. Having her own way is her character-
istic. One well know politician stated very succinctly on a senior yearbook,
I want, what I want, when I want it!
Is as close to Ann Carter’s personality
as it can be. Her travails in this story will keep you entertained, and the ending will certainly having you scratching your head in disbelief. Enjoy the experience.
Fade IN:
EXT. GOLF COURSE - DAY
Aerial view of Brenthill Country Club. Zoom in on three middle-aged women, highly made up and stylishly dressed: BETTY, LESLIE, and BEV. A fourth woman is ANN CARTER:beaut- ful dark haired Eurasian simply dressed, and competitive. They are on the fifth fairway walking to their tee shots.
ANGLE ON BETTY
Betty walks up to her ball, gets herself set and hits a three-wood. The ball goes about 100 yards straight down the middle.
ANGLE ON LESLIE
She's hit an iron from the rough, barely getting it on the fairway.
ANGLE ON BEV
Bev glances over at the next fairway.
ANGLE ON THE ADJACENT FAIRWAY
A player there hits his ball. His caddie nods in approval and gives the man a pat on the back. They walk on.
BEV
Ann! That's him: The caddie I was telling you about.
ANGLE ON ANN
Ann is about 10 yards in front, turns around and locks in on the caddie.
ANN
This ought to get his attention.
Ann addresses her ball, and positions her shot over to the next fairway.
BEV
What are you doing?
ANGLE ON THE ADJACENT FAIRWAY
The caddie is having a brief conference with his player. Just then, a ball bounces close to them. Both men turn around.
CADDIE
(To player)
Goddamn women.
(Shouts in Ann's direction) You’re supposed to say, Fore
for Christ’s sake!
Ann rushes over about 10 yards from them.
ANN
(Shouts)
I'm sorry, gentlemen. I've got this terrible hook. Can't get rid of it — tried everything.
They look at her coolly. She walks away with all the femininity she can exude.
ANGLE ON ANN
ANN
(Toward Bev)
Got his attention, didn't I?
BACK TO CADDIE AND PLAYER
T.I.
Who the hell was that?
FRANK
Ann Carter: The hottest thing around. Thinks her you know what
doesn't stink.
INT. CLUBHOUSE - DAY
Ann, Leslie, Bev, and Betty are playing cards.
Ann lays down her cards decisively.
ANN
Gin!
LESLIE, BEV, BETTY
Gin?
ANN
That's right! Count 'em up. I need a new outfit.
BETTY
I'd take your old clothes if they'd fit. But then again, I don't spend all my time at the gym.
They all laugh. Ann gives Betty a darting look.
LESLIE
Betty, that wasn’t nice. Ann does other things.
BETTY
I bet!
ANN
Feeling a little spunky today, girls. The name of game is: Losers Pay. Dig in!
(They reach for their purses.)
ANN
Let’s have another round before we go. I'm buying.
Ann motions the waitress for another round of drinks.
BEV
I've got to
