    1. ON WOMEN

    Women defined

Besides the dictionary meaning and association of the common populace, women, for our subject means largely the human female. The female will serve the purpose more adequately than the word women. However, due to certain practical inconveniences with the word female, we prefer the word women. A woman is essentially the female sex of the human being. It is found in many shapes and sizes, depending on the age, and other matters that shall be discussed as the study progresses.

    Classification of women

Women for our present purpose may be tentatively classified under various heads. As morphology assumes noticeable changes with age, therefore, age must be the most significant criterion for classifying women for women watching. Before that, the classification can be more acceptable on biological stages. Another functional classification, which is very striking, is rural and urban category. Before everything, let us clarify ourselves with the concept of the women that is at hand.

    Biological criterion

First, we shall classify the women on biological front. In this heading, we may group them into (a) premenstrual, (b) menstrual and (c) post menstrual or the menopausal. The menstrual shall have further divisions.

    Pre menstrual

It is doubtful, whether the above word is accurate and correct for what it shall denote. Let it be explained. What we mean by premenstrual here is the woman that is not yet physiologically mature. It is technically called pubescent, perhaps. It is that biological stage, where, the woman or the female is yet to mature or achieve her menarche, her first menstruation. It is made worthy of classification just because, there are a section of men who are fixated and intensely fascinated by the female just arriving close to her maturity. It is perhaps two or three years before her actual feminine flowering.

In rural areas, this age is not noticeable perhaps due to poor nutrition, and absence of the stimulating psychosexual environs in the immediate society. However, in the cities the situation is quite different. The female, just in her preteens appears as a full woman, with considerable masses of flesh and conspicuous curves below and above in her beautifully shaped, proportionately well filled body. Everything that represents the woman or the womanhood becomes quite apparent, from any dressing she may put herself onto. This stage is called pre menstrual. The schoolgirls, in their school dress over the knees, giving a portion of creamy and fully filled thigh is just an example of that stage. The men who studied in convent schools can still remember the school dress fixation they may cherish in some corner of their mind. Some old men unashamedly desire these little women, as we saw certain instances of a wealthy Arab marrying a pubescent girl.

The child molesters are yet another example to prove our point. There exists undeniable attraction and desirability for this particular stage by some of the men. Whether such attraction is acceptable or not is not in our scope of discussion.

    Menstrual

It is the largest group that has wider range, needing further divisions for studying comprehensively. The bases for such divisions are many. The most important one is motherhood. Motherhood transforms the female morphology, before, during and after. The marriage is yet another base, which sets the morphological change into motion.

    The virginal

Of course, it is not that easy to identify women, on this count. Therefore, the actual meaning must be elucidated to clarify the point within the menstrual stage we can divide it further into two larger categories. They are virginal and maternal forms. Desmond Morris, in his book describes the women, into those having virginal shapes and curves and those having the maternal curves. So, by unmarried we actually mean the virginal forms and outlines the woman has. These curves are automatically filled up and folded into tiers to form the maternal shapes. The virginal slowly transforms into the maternal. And this transformation, or the morphological change is inevitably associated with marriage and motherhood.

The virginal curves are well known. So they need little description. The teenage girls, the adolescents, in their early maturity, definitely exhibit these virginal curves. Slender trunk, divergent arms and convergent hips, is only a stereotyped description. The breasts are perfectly round and free from sag at this stage due to their optimum fill.

Larger majority has characteristic preference for this stage.

    The maternal

The metamorphosis from the virginal curves to the maternal is observed to happen usually in the later stages of marriage and motherhood. Many opine that the reason for being so is woman’s settling into comfortable stage of life. The problems and challenges of mate seeking are complete. There are no strains of remaining appealing and attractive to the seekers. The seductive efforts come to a halt. Marriage is viewed as passing out of such earlier stages for mate selection or pair formation. Seemingly, the other reasons are as a housewife, the woman dislikes wasting food by throwing away. Unable to throw, she eats whatever is in excess. This excess consumption coupled with total leisure help to put on fat deposits and the curves are rapidly filled up. She feels more settled and comfortable and eats well, without concern.

The pregnancy and its maturity also definitely change the form. The rapid change of the belly and breasts become very obvious.

    The pregnant

In pregnancy morphology of the women is inevitably changed. Belly takes the first place, and breasts follow belly by growing in size and often swelling to large size. As the pregnancy progresses there are further morphological changes besides other internal changes as well.

    Motherhood

The stages before, during and after pregnancy and childbirth are clubbed into this simple heading for morphological purposes. As the baby is born, the obvious change is seen in the female breasts along with other changes in body portions elsewhere. Stretch marks are added feature in these women. This, often with other marks and signs of operation hold a different attraction. The woman may be multiparous will all issues alive or otherwise.

    Post menstrual

The stage postmenstrual can be further divided into pre menopausal, menopausal and postmenopausal. The journey from the motherhood perhaps after repeated motherhood culminates, after some decades into pre menopausal.

    Premenopausal

The woman, fully mature and have fully filled contours, with excessive folds, laps and tiers over specific portions of her body arrives close toward menopausal stage. The premenopausal stage is continuation of the post motherhood stage. The women show aging signs, graying hair, sagged breasts, still apparently massive and huge in size, with thick and plump arms and tiered trunk and lapped and folded bellies.

    Menopausal and postmenopausal

The menopause and after make their own morphological changes in the women. Their body in every detail is differently transformed from their past appearance. These differences are quite obvious to anyone who has the opportunity to see them, or their earlier photographs.

    Age criteria

After the biological classification of the women’s morphology it is indeed superfluous to classify them under the criterion of age. It all the same amounts to the same. However, to further refine the study it shall be made under: preteens, teens, twenties, thirties, forties and fifties.

    Pre teens

It is same as the pubescent stage earlier described. The age 13 or 14 seems to be the dividing line in majority of human females to make them cross the threshold of maturity. The physical maturity is attained by the large, by that age. There may be some variation for all practical purposes, as well. The present trend at least in the cities and well-fed families seems to be that. So 2 or 3 years before 13 or 14 also appear to be attractive. The well-fed female body is filled sufficiently and the breasts and hips grow rapidly in size and mass. This making them more feminine and womanish than they were previously.

    Teens

This particular period has much sentimental value and popular appeal. It has psychological significance as well. The human female experiences many crises at this juncture of development. However, for the women watcher this stage can offer a new beauty of invigorating and highly fulfilling type. The high schools and colleges are the perennial gardens for the flowers in their teens. Teenage has its own unique beauty. The new developments arriving rapidly to become full, and sensuous growth in many dimensions, suddenly revealing newly achieved pride and prized beauties is a different experience.

    Twenties

After the teens, the individual enters into her twenties. The body form and structure take its own turn in this stage as well. The fullness is increased reaching its crescendo in the twenties. The unfilled and other incomplete details of the teens assume their completion and perfection in the twenties. The so-called girl is by now considered as woman. For the women watcher every decennial stage shall consist of the arithmetical mid point. And the years preceding and succeeding it. For example, twenties may be studied as early twenties that are before the 25, which is the midpoint and late twenties that is succeeding the midpoint. Every decennial period shall have its own beauty and appeal in such two halves. The significance of twenties is that the women tend to be in the transitional zone, which sees them off into fully-grown woman. In the terms of women watching, it is from the virginal to the maternal form. Twenties is the bridge, which transforms and thus bridges these two important morphological stages.

    Thirties

Morphologically, the women in her thirties appear as full woman. By thirties in majority of cases, she shall be fully filled. All her contours are plump by now. The whole body is rich and round. Women, especially the urban women attain their rotund features, large, and plumpy in fill and form. They are fuller and more womanly shaped.

Plump, broad hipped, woman the plump curves, that are often linked with the maternal form, than the courting phase of life. The plumpy and rounded female with fat and thick arms, and newly developing tiers on the either side of her trunk, below the blouse at the back, is often an exciting sight indeed.

    Forties

In the forties, the woman is found to be complete with her motherhood, as the biological career is put to an end. Now her motherhood is more functional with psychological succor and emotional contribution in bringing up the children she has bore by then. At this period, the hair contains one or two decent streaks of gray adding to her dignified beauty. She contains a rich aura of maturity and fullness by this time. The tiers on the trunk, either side, at the back are complete and fully prominent. The fill and hugeness are also in the maximum. Just as the twenties function as the transitory threshold from the virginal to the maternal morphology, so also the forties function as the bridge, which takes her to the menopausal stage. The sag, its journey is now obvious. It is downward journey, now at any rate. The parabola after achieving the peak, starts to descend gradually.

    Fifties

It is the ripeness. Graying is more prominent.
