About this ebook

Memento Mori,When Ecclesiastes Sprouts Legs, is a book of reflection on the brevity of life. The poetry searches through the feelings of those about to die, those who have faced the death of a love one, those who question the meaning of life, and those who are simply beginning to understand the shortness of time. Many poetic styles are used to help give the reader an empathic mind to the individual “writers,” understanding the emotions and truths that all go through at different stages of their lives. Feel inspired with this work to meditate and find your own meaning in life.

    Memento Mori - Brittany Wyatt

    Introduction

The content of this book is meant to cause introspection on life. All are given a life to live. However, each of our lives is not the same. We each have our own set of situations, circumstances, and snapshots that make up the lives that we live. Yet, we all questions life’s meaning. Many poems in this book illustrate these common questions, the questions that we ask on a daily basis regarding things both grand and mundane to try and draw meaning from our endless, everyday behavior. The pendulum keeps on swinging back and forth, time is short, and soon all meet the graveyard. Hopefully these poems will cause reflection for each of us, as we all search for purpose through our brief journeys.
