About this ebook
The log of a citizen of the dead; this is the chronicling of one man who is numbered among the walking dead after a city is plagued with an infection that eliminates the people's natural ability to create red blood cells. Their bodies rot away, but the mind is left harrowingly intact.

I'm a 21 year old who wants to change the world. Due to the unlikelihood of that happening, I'll settle for changing you if you'll let me. I've had no formal creative writing training nor have I gone to college, though that is in the works. I've not even read any classical literature; what I write is purely me and my own, as repulsive and coarse as that may be. I've written about a half-dozen short stories, most of a novel, and over a hundred complete song lyrics(some use poetic devices, most don't, aside from rhyming). Not looking to make money from my stories--at least not until I've taken classes for writing. I'm also a guitarist, a wannabe singer and a terrible pianist. In a world of synth-driven, auto-tuned chart toppers, the kind of musician that I hope to be is quickly becoming obsolete. May each universe you create be as filled with imagination and wonder as this one. Please alert me to any ways you feel I can improve my style of writing. Rates, comments and criticism are not only welcome, but much appreciated.

Journal Entry: January 12th, 2014
I finally decided to start a journal. Nadia always kept one of her own and asked me to start one, too. She had several unused notepads lying around in case I decided to start one. And here it is. Amidst this plague, the words shall fall on paper instead of ears. It's been a few weeks since all this started, but better late than never to start one. God knows how I miss her, but my longing for her seems to be diminishing day-by-day. That scares me more than death itself. I don't want to lose her. I don't want to forget her or not be lost without her.
It's been about three weeks since the initial outbreak. We were given hope in the beginning, that they were working on a cure. But it spread so fast that they quarantined the entire city before they completed their work. It was supposed to be only two days until the cure was developed. That sense of hope quickly diminished and we knew they had abandoned
