    A Letter From The Editor

    By Allan Kaspar

This may be my shortest lil spiel to all of you, yet! I really can’t say any more than thank you! Thank you for making this year an incredible, amazing ride. Your love and appreciation for the creative work we showcase here on a monthly basis is just a bloody thrill to be a part of. We continue to rack up compliments and rock on!s from our readers, and it really makes us proud to say…

Holy shhhnikes! We’ve made it to our one year anniversary already! We are still in the research process of getting out our Uncharted Frontier’s Best of the Year anthology in print. What we can tell you now is some of the decisions we’ve made on content (well, teases really): Cheri Sundra, Richard Lawrence and W. Jack Savage are familiar names you’ll be seeing more of in our best of the year print edition! There are still more to be decided, but wow has it been fun going through a year’s worth of amazing issues!

Without further ado, I give you our final edition for the 2012-2013 season! Thank you and keep reading! We’ll be back in September to start the new season! In the meantime, enjoy this amazing read, and Welcome to the Frontier!

We’re doing six one-hour shows this weekend at the glamorous Mirage: two performances on Friday night, two Saturday, with a Sunday matinee followed by an after dinner show at eight. Jerry Seinfeld is in town; he’s the big dog on the block, the main draw, but fortunately we’re working opposite sides of the street, observational comedy versus female impersonator.

Five hundred people will be out there beyond the glare of footlights and colored spots, amid the haze of cigarette fumes rising from the smoking section, coughs and laughter, the ceaseless background sounds of voices and the tinkling of ice against cocktail glasses. Following the emcee’s sweeping introduction, I’ll walk into the white-hot spotlight, my platinum wig aglow, my sequin evening gown lit in sapphire blue.

A lot of makeup—plus plastic surgery several years ago—helps fine tune certain facial features, although I could have doubled for Marilyn when we were both in our teens, and of course padding for the hips and silicone implants for the chest.
