I am a single white female of 61, divorced with 2 children, 1 son Keith and Daughter Karie. I have 9 beautiful Grandchildren. 5 Grandchildren Kaili, Joshua, Joseph, Colby, and Emma. 4 Step Grandchildren Scott, Savanna, Cheyenne, and Cody. They brighten my day for the most part and worry me to death for the other. hehe I have been writting poems and songs since I was in High School. Love Music and Dancing. I love the west but have lived in Illinois all my life. I am not a big adventurer. Wish I was, I do love to travel. What I have seen out west and on my cruises to Alaska and Hawaii take my breath away. I so hope my kids get to see this beauty someday. My motto is Live like you mean it.

This book is a work of poems and the feeling and thoughts that went into these poems. Also of the wonderful people I have shared my life with.

A Special Thanks to My cousin Debra Davis of In Art Therapy for creating this beautiful book cover for me. Love you Deb and all my Family and Friends who are talked about in my book.

    Whispers in my Mind!

Written by Kathy Sue Widdows Adams 2013

Whispers in My Mind, is a collection of thoughts, a poem, or a song lyric. My mind seems to have random thoughts of a loved one, or something that has happened in my life or has happened in the day. Whatever the case may be, it’s here and then it’s gone just a whisper in my mind. If I don’t write these things down sometimes, they are gone as quickly and quietly as they entered. There are times in my life that I feel such a sadness overwhelm me, and the only way through it, is to write these whispers in my mind so, this is where I am beginning, with a poem I called.

    Where do I belong!

Where do I belong, nowhere it seems,

except in my heart, my hopes, and my dreams.

No one to listen, no one to share,

being with people, without being there.

I sometimes wonder will I ever fit in

having people around me without being a friend.

I know I have friends, who love
